Foods OK but I definitely won’t be rushing back. The front courtyard is relaxing and watching the world go by is a huge plus.

I’ve eaten here a few times now and while there is nothing particularly memorable about the menu it’s still a nice place to have lunch with a friend. Service is good, the staff are friendly, food is good and the fountain area of seating is lovely! So nice and tranquil. The interior of the restaurant that was once an old house is lovely too. I would recommend their breakfast menu over the lunch one but both are decent, offering your usual staple café food.

I love this place, no so much for the food, its a little average, but the service is brilliant! Working in hospitality I know the daunting task of constantly being bubbly and sweet(even in those situations when you are moments from stabbing a customer with a spoon, terrible weapon but your so enraged that you will try, note to society ‘waiters are people too’). I have been to this place a few times as I love the adorable courtyard and the Tuscon design interior(though the fountain can be an issue if one needs to pee as the flow of running water rushes through your mind… darn it I need to pee now!). The Food — so this is neither amazing nor is it plain. I grew up on food that is from the Aegean so I have a certain expectation of Italian dishes, they meet these expectations but dont exceed them(if that makes sense). The pizza is ok, the typical flavor one one expects from pizza doughy, cheesey, tomato, basil and garlicy relatively nice. The Risotto, here is where they do well, mastering risotto can be tricky(believe me) but they make it well, the mushroom one is the best as if you enjoy a little pepper kick. Now to the service, they are sweet! the boss(I assume shes the boss by the way she dominates the service team in that authoritarian manner), is one of the sweetest most bubble people I have ever met, she is always up for a chat and talking is one of my favorite hobbies! the wait staff are helpful and know their products and the delivery guys when one orders out always arrive in a timely fashion with a happy disposition. If you want to head hear because flavors are your thing and new foods are a must, then I can’t really recommend it(probably 3 stars on the rating system), yet if you have had a rough day and need someone to be sweet(as that can make any feel better) then this place is highly recommended. No matter how bad my mood the staff here always makes me small and for that the deserve a shout out, we often over look service and this review is really about them(there is a ton of other reviews about the food thats pretty spot on) keep up the good work darlings!

I really wanted this to be a 4-star review, but I just couldn’t justify it. It wasn’t too bad, the staff were really nice, the food was hit or miss, the service… well they were polite, but some things left a lot to be desired. I ordered two entrees — I had the prawns and calamari and an eggplant parmagiana. My seafood was amazing, really crispy, luscious salad, great dipping sauce. I wish I had not been such a greedy guts and stuck to that only. The servings are VERY generous, gotta give them credit for that. The eggplant parmagiana was pretty bland. I mean, you know it can’t be great when you order an eggplant parmagiana and then you have to ask the waiter to bring you more parmesan cheese… because it doesn’t have much taste. My whole table was like, uhhhhh… really? I’m like, yeah really. My eggplant parmegiana tastes like it’s missing… PARMESAN! The food took ages to come out… like ages and ages and THEN when it did come out, they forgot my friend’s gnocchi and she was sitting there even longer with no food while everyone else was chowing down. Then to add insult to injury, when she gets her gnocchi and is almost finished, the waiter comes by and is like«are you finished?»… and she’s a nice, agreeable type of person and she says yes and lets him take it away, but really she wasn’t finished, HERUSHEDHER. Dude, if someone has a fork in their hand and food on the plate, THEYARENOTFINISHED! Don’t ask people if they’re finished! Just leave them alone! So yeah, nothing totally awful, but definitely wasn’t exceptional in any way. I don’t think they deal with larger groups well.

Cute spot! Picturesque little front garden and dining rooms — like an old converted house. Service is very good, staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. Nice selection of Italian type dishes, and the chocolate fondant dessert was very good. Only criticism to make is the artwork on the walls — so rubbish! But in a funny way :)

The Fountain 77 website has a photo of staff members with Kevin Rudd. It is the first thing you see: it is quite large and the Flash animation pans across the image. But don’t hold this against the establishment. The indoor section of the restaurant is large and airy: we were seated in the main room, which has a balcony at the rear, but I am fairly certain that the front two rooms are used for function. The room was a little chilly on this particular day, but in summer, this would be a great place to cool down with the cross breeze. Using the big breakfast as our measuring stick, Fountain 77 acquitted themselves fairly well: it wasn’t the biggest or best big breakfast I have ever consumed, but the inclusion of a hash brown is always welcome and the hash here is made in the traditional grated potato fashion. Fountain 77 is actually a Mediterranean restaurant, so further visits will be required to sample their other wares.
