I remember I visited this funky place for a second time some years ago — since the coffee was smooth and impressive. The barista remembered me and what I ordered from my first visit from over a week earlier! That’s someone that’s serious about running a good coffee shop and speaks volume for the attention to detail in the rest of the café’s offerings. They do a fantastic cold brew coffee with lots of different options in their fridge and I love that they use locally sourced milk and take care of the small things every time. I am routinely disappointed with the extra fees for using card at this joint as this can normally be negotiated out from the banks, but I’ll always pop into this place now and then when I’m down for some seriously good coffee.

Amazing coffee! I was only visiting Brisbane so was only able to come here once, but I loved my cold soy mocha made with dark chocolate served in a bottle. The barista was super cool too and made my sister’s coffee with care and attention.

First went here in 2013 on my honeymoon, and everything was delicious! Here again 2.5 years later, and everything that’s good about it is still the same. Knowledgeable baristas and freaking delicious coffee. Walked here from Spring Hill, totally worth it!

Pretty pretty pretty good. I’m always torn between here and other nearby coffee places but LTD is always one of those places you can get in and out quick, even if there’s a queue. The coffee is always top notch and they’ve also got a killer range of cold pressed coffees for a hot day. They have some small food offerings — muffins and toast etc, so it’s a nice place to grab a quick brunch on the go. The seating is minimal but they do have a long bar to sit at too. Definitely a place to scope out for coffee lovers.

Ltd is seriously the best coffee in Brisbane. I can’t even put into words how much I love coffee from here. I feel like I’m going to fan girl out, but the owner make the most divine espresso — when he’s not there I’m slightly disappointed. But don’t get it twisted, it’s still awesome coffee when the rest of the staff make it. They’re open Sundays! Get on it.

This has to be, hands down, the best coffee in Brisbane! The staff are super awesome, chatty by not TOO chatty, plenty of seats while you wait, simple snacks if you’re peckish and perfectly textured, creamy coffee every time. Seriously. The coffee here is heaven.

What a wonderful coffee shop! This is my favorite legit coffee shop in the whole Brisbane area. They really know how to do their coffee and they serve it with a smile. I came in here on a quest: a quest to find someone who could create a koala latte art in my coffee for me. I have gone all around the city in search of a barista who can accomplish this task for me and this is where I found it. I came in and two baristas were working this Monday afternoon. I asked and they both said they couldn’t do a koala, but one barista, Jason is his name I believe, said he would attempt. I bought myself a flat white because I still wanted a coffee and sat down with my computer to enjoy it. I watched people come in and out of here, it had a steady flow of customers, but for a Monday afternoon never got unbearably busy. After enjoying my cup of coffe, Jason brought over my koala! He did about three or four attempts and was able to execute a koala in my coffee! I was SO impressed by the amount of times he tried and he said it was on the house because he wasn’t able to do it the first time and it would go to waste otherwise. It really made me appreciate their value for customer satisfaction at LTD. I spent about three hours there enjoying my coffee and working on my essay as well as talking to him. It was a very pleasant experience. Sadly, I got quick after and couldn’t go the next couple Monday’s because of my schedule. But I still plan on going back just to get a coffee from him! It was a wonderful experience at LTD and I would recommend it to anyone. My only negatives are there’s not a lot of quality seating, all the tables are quite small and there’s no wifi. Other than that, great coffee, great service, great prices, and great location!

The filter beans they sell here are some of the best locally roasted beans I’ve had in Brisbane. The espresso and pour-over that I’ve had in the shop have also been top notch.

I can’t believe I hadn’t gotten around to reviewing Ltd yet– it’s damn near perfect. I’ve been visiting the team at Ltd for about a year now and I can honestly say they make the best coffee in all of Brisbane. The staff are so friendly and masters of their craft, always up for a chat and generous with suggestions if you’re not sure what you’re after. Go here. Just do it.

Great coffee. Really great coffee. The guys were fun and friendly, had a great chat. Nice bright space and usually something funny on the A-frame outside!

Awesome place. The owner is hilarious and makes an awesome coffee. Always impresses me when someone makes the effort to remember your order! Sourdough toast is the best thing ever. Love it!

VERY bad first experience. Bitterly disappointed in more ways than just the coffee. Flat, bitter, weak… Totally not what I expected. I would have taken the coffee(if you could call it coffee) back if I thought they would do the right thing and replace it with something I ‘expected’ from them, but they were rude enough to serve a ‘regular’ who just sat down while there was a cue of two people, they questioned my order, clearly didn’t like my clarification on what I wanted and proceeded to serve a coffee so badly I tipped it out and bought again elsewhere. Let me explain… I really LIKE coffee… I order a double piccolo that I prefer made with two ristrettos rather than a single twin pour, if the café has ‘form’( Unilocalers seem to really RATE this place), so had to give it a go. They told me they don’t have a single pourer, so I asked for a two x double shots(stronger and bigger)… Then had to clarify that it should be 50% coffee extraction &50% milk.(Same as a regular piccolo, just twice as much liquid)… I’ll give them another go when I’m back in the area(only because everyone thinks so highly of them & their abilities), but first bitter, rude, arrogant impressions last. Reference for a piccolo —

Best coffee in Brisbane. Full stop. Great staff too. They will take the time to explain what they have on offer to ensure you get exactly what you want. Get the pour over.

Not usually a coffee drinker, but this store serves mainly only coffee and so I took a plunge and ordered their mocha upon recommendation from a friend. The mocha was made with chocolate milk which made the soften the bitterness of the drink and to my surprise I quite liked it! The staff were really friendly, they will make your ordered drinks in front of you. We were having a pretty good time just chilling there and occasionally chatting with the owner of the store. I would definitely go back again if I have the chance to even though I’m not exactly a coffee drinker.

After passing by this little coffee hub in the centre of the valley plenty a time, I finally stopped by one day to have their much-talked about coffee! I don’t have much to say that hasn’t already been said, but this place really does serve a delicious coffee! Their coffee isn’t as strong as some places around Brissy, but it fits my liking. My skinny latte was smooth, not one bit acidic, and quite aromatic. The aroma wasn’t particularly distinct, but nevertheless pleasant. Though their seats aren’t too conventional, LTD is perfect for coffee on the go!

In my opinion Ltd Espresso has the best coffee in Brisbane. This small store on Brunswick St in the Valley really only serves one thing — coffee — but it does that one thing really well. That is partly why the store is called Ltd. It is limited to coffee, but wow is the coffee world class. The owner and barista Luke is passionate about his coffee and it shows in every detail in his store. If you are serious about your coffee, Ltd is a must-visit.

So, this place is red hot and there is a very good reason for that. The coffee is not only sublime, made with true skill but consistant, consistant, consistant. Nothing I get frustrated with more than going to a place getting a fab espresso, then next time it’s terrible or just plain average. NOTHERE! Luke and his staff of very skilled Barista’s show that you can make coffee after coffee perfectly. The Cleanskin coffee is divine, particularly the Blend #14. So good, smooth and robust I don’t need the one sugar I normally always have in my coffee. It’s a long skinny space, with some cool local artwork on the walls, humour on the mirrors about people who don’t really get *coffee* and some awesomely funny and risqué A Frame comments. There is usually a few sweet treats available to nibble with your delicious coffee. And there is the bottled iced coffee for a hot day. This is one place you must come at LEAST once to try. My absolute favourite place in Brisbane for coffee.

Ltd Espresso is a small blink-and-you’ll-miss-it establishment on Brunswick St just past the Valley mall. With the huge amount of café’s now located in the suburb of Fortitude Valley(a reliable source advised me that it is a whopping 43!) for a coffee based business to thrive it really need to provide something different and unique. Ltd Espresso is run by Luke, who is passionate and enthusiastic about his craft. That craft is quality coffee. Ltd Espresso is one of the new wave of coffee houses in Brisbane that are purely about the coffee. You won’t find any meals here — it is ALL about the brew. Luke offers a range of different blends and single origins on his coffee menu, and you are able to enjoy all of these in a variety of methods including the classic espresso and the increasingly popular pour over style. A knowledgeable purveyor of coffee, Luke can advise you as to each offerings strengths, which style of brewing will bring out the best of the coffee and whether it will be better as a black or white coffee. The interior is relatively small, but it is a comfortable friendly atmosphere with some funky art displayed on the walls that is often available for purchase. Even the most ardent coffee fan might not be prepared for yet another café to have popped up, particularly in an already saturated area like the Valley. However, once you have dropped in to Ltd Espresso once you will want to return for more.

This stretch of Brunswick Street isn’t one I usually associate with any more than seeing drunken shenanigans unfold around a sober you on a Friday — Sunday night. Then comes Brunswick Social, Herve Dining and now Ltd Espresso + Brew Bar(yes, there’s another coffee bar only two doors up from these guys) all giving this section of The Valley a new breath of air during the day. Brewing Cleanskin Coffee(a locally roasted bean), Luke, the man behind this simple coffee bar, knows his stuff. Making coffee isn’t just a hobby for this cool cat, it’s a full time gig and investing in making Brisbane’s coffee scene more vibrant is something he’s excited about. I mean, does your local coffee shop have a machine that reads a coffee profile from a USB? No. I didn’t think so. There’s a coffee menu and for the time being no food, but I’m told it is to come. It won’t be a full menu, just pastries etc. I ordered a Flat White on the No. 14 blend by Cleanskin which also goes nicely through an Aeropress. Really though, the No. 14 sparkles when served with milk. Smooth, creamy and subtly handsome. Mmm… that coffee hit the spot!
