Littlefoot

The Western suburbs has been a bit of a desert in terms of nice groovy bars with no pokies clanging away in the background. Along came littlefoot and for this Westy it is like a small oasis on Fitzroy in Footscray. The bar is lovely and cosy with many a nook and cranny to go and sit in. Live music is on pretty much every night. Saturday night there was DJ oily shoes who kept us up on the dancefloor with 80’s and 90’s hits. I strongly recommend having a Paddy Nguyen which is an alcoholic vietnamese iced coffee cocktail!

Definitely needed a place like this on the west side!
Good drinks selection: great gins, nice mix of craft beers.
Décor is simple, with exposed brick work and some cool wall art. Nice and casual atmosphere, staff are relaxed and efficient.
Just had a couple of drinks after dinner so didn’t have a bite to eat, but the food looks pretty tasty! Nibbles, pizza, burger type fare.
DJ on a Saturday evening, solid 90s tune on the night we visited. Cool little disco ball and fairy lights that somehow all came together really nicely.
Will definitely go back, maybe for some eats next time!

There are moments in life when you’re on your way home from a long hard day and you need to collapse into a comfortable spot and eat a delicious meal and drink a nice cold beer. I couldn’t make it all the way home and I certainly couldn’t make delicious food and I was by myself, what to do?
Thank the gods who gave us Littlefoot. Gorgeous wee bar in the heart of Footscray, with the nicest staff who instantly make you feel welcome. But the clincher is the fabulous menu.
It’s weird to find yourself raving about a bar menu because they’re normally so stock standard. But this menu is packed with such clever little items, with some lovely nods to the unique local cuisine in the ‘scray.
Tonight I chose off their specials menu and scored the most succulent little crumbed eggplant fritters. And the mini churros with salted caramel goodness. I must mention the injerra scrolls as I’ve had them before and they’re a superb invention!
Delicious! Nice and light, and very promptly served.
The bar menu is also very good and any liquor snob will find something to their taste. I’m a tequila drinker and their range, while not extensive, is excellent quality. Topped off with great local beers on tap, a perfect spot for a few drinks with friends.
Great to see this end of Footscray developing, and Littlefoot is setting an excellent standard.
