It’s really a great place to eat, with groups of just with a friend. They got nice space and different seating areas. Anyway the food here is pretty good(not the beef rendang though, it’s gross) and the drink is quite authentic. I’d recommend the Roti Tissue for dessert. All the food is quite cheap and good portion. The staffs are quite good and available. It’s definitely one of the good Malaysian in Melbourne.

Friendly staff. Came here on a busy Sunday, although we had a booking we had a few more people than expected, they very happily accomodated for all of us.

Roti Rd is exactly what the Scray needed — a place you can take 20 friends and share as much authentic Malaysian as you can handle. Just when you think it’s time to head off and run the gauntlet of the Scray at night, the Roti tossing will begin matching anything that Bryan Brown and Tom Cruise in Cocktail could fake. My advice is to order extra roti as you’ll need it to soak up the goodness. Say hi to Matthew one of the owners, he’s super friendly and chatty.

Had dinner here. I think I over curried myself. It was good to eat during, but regretful afterwards! I’m off curry for a while lol Seriously though, pretty underwhelming. I wasn’t really blown away by it. Staff are great though and the place is super clean!

While this Malaysian-Chinese restaurant’s interior design is a little mismatched, there’s nothing confused about the food. There’s a theatre element too — watching the Malay chefs and roti wizards stretch and spin endless amounts of roti dough is part of the experience. When it arrives at your table, use it to mop up dahl, curry and sambal, authentically served to you on a tin platter. Popular dishes such as nasi lemak and chicken curry are true to the streets of Kuala Lumpur, while house-made chilli oil will pack a punch to the dumplings(which are handmade by the head chef’s mum) on the daily yum cha menu. Turn the heat down with a simple Malaysian treat; the Milo Dinosaur: a cold Milo over ice.
