Staff were not super friendly, and coffee was not all it was cracked up to be on BeanHunter… the search for good coffee in this area continues.

Great place for casual lunches. Pulled pork, jerk chicken. They’re all good, if anything a little small sometimes. Fantastic coffee and tip top hipster style service. Refreshing for the East Melbourne area.

I’ve looked at Hard Pressed from the 48 tram countless times on my way to work, and today I finally made it in. It was time for a second breakfast so I garbed some poached egg’s and a coffee. The coffee was quick to turn up and really hit the mark, being the first one for the day I can be very picky when I have a lack of caffeine in my system :) While I waited for my food I took in the fit out and they’ve done well with the space. Its not over the top like a lot of other café’s these days, some might almost call it rustic but either way I think it works. Poached eggs where spot on so I was a happy boy. Would be a great spot to grab a coffee in the afternoon, sit out the front and take in the sun and watch the world go by.

This little place popped up overnight in East Melbourne and is a welcome addition for those too lazy to walk over to Bridge Rd. Very funky little place with great coffee. Haven’t sampled the food yet but plan too in the very near future!

What a breath of fresh air! This new East Melbourne café has all the ingredients of an upcoming popular place to eat. The staff were all hipster like but very friendly! The wooden tables all fresh and new, fabulous décor and just this great vibe about it. I was served a fresh cold pressed watermelon and mint juice in a mason jar and a pork, pickle and cheese sandwich. Delicious! Definitely anotger choice for new work lunch spots!
