Azzuri Cafe

At USYD, unless you have money for Parma, all food sucks except for the kebab place and Azzuri café.
There’s a reason to why Azzuri café was able to survive in a crappy downstairs corner position for years and now have two branches in the same building, both of which are still just as busy: COFFEE.
They make the best coffee of anywhere in Sydney. Creamy, rich and this is for the skim crap which you shouldn’t be wasting life on. So, yes, they make coffee so well they can convert skim into a wonderful creamy coffee taste. This place performs coffee alchemy! They are justified to not have a tacky loyalty card as it’s worth paying for. Their coffee is pretty well priced compared to rip off CBD prices, $ 3 for a small and $ 3.50 for a large. Friendly people too.
Apart from coffee, they added some cool additions to the place when they made the second branch. Crepes and Vietnamese rolls. I can’t comment on their crepes but people seem to be buying them constantly. I do really love their chicken rolls. Their chicken rolls are better than any i’ve had before and I have experience in chicken rolls, i grew up in the nasty west of sydney. The chicken in the rolls is so juicy and tender with the most amazing sauce that when you’re eating it with the sweet carrot, coriander, tomato and lettuce, you’re savouring every bite as the juices leak out of the bag and all over your wrists and lap. Dirty but worth every bite.
coffee, rolls and crepes are in the upstairs café. The downstairs café does the same coffee and the sit down menu. Downstairs is the place to go if you have friends and want to see them. Upstairs is the place to go if you want a quick coffee and a dirty, delicious roll.
