Terrific, original food that bypasses the cliched Chinese you might find elsewhere. Our family of four came here for a Friday dinner on the way to the Coburg drive-in, and ate well. I have to agree with the previous review in that the service is a little patchy. Some tables around us had to ask for dishes they’d ordered that failed to arrive. All up, though, great, tasty food at a reasonable price, with ample parking in Coles car park right out front.

Found tucked around the corner from the busy Bell Street /Sydney Rd intersection, the first thing I’m amazed by is the quietness of the place. Note to self, weird intimate lunches could be good here. In a surprising contrast to the lack of people here, it takes forever to get served. The pop music playing softly isn’t the Kanto-Pop I expect from this kind of place, and slowly but surely your eyes open to the who westernisation of the place. Not is a bad way, in an educational sort of way. And all I wanted was to eat. With Dumplings in the name you hope for the goods, and thankfully the place produces. Nights can be busier, but I’m yet to see this place overcrowded, so for a nice relaxed meal with elbow room and food you’re more than familiar with, Wang Wang makes the cut.
