I’m surprised this place hasn’t had a huge amount of exposure because I have to admit that it is a pretty cool place. Okay, maybe it’s location away from the bar scene of Smith and Brunwick streets means that it doesn’t attract as huge a crowd as some of the other places, but I still have to say that it is pretty cool. In fact I discovered it quite by accident, though I’m not sure of quite by accident involves walking past, seeing it, and saying ‘oh, there’s a bar here that I haven’t been to before). It does look pretty small, but that have an upstairs area and a really cool beer garden out the back, where I tend to end up gravitating towards when I am here. I’m certainly going to be visiting this place more often, especially since I tend to find myself wandering along Queens Parade.

Pretty good. Bar bar, part café, part live music venue, part locals’ hangout. Some velvet morning does have a pretty cool name, and is open for beers, toasties, burgers, or coffee. It’s on the less busier side of the main drag of Clifton hill, in amongst all manner of various alternative therapies outlets. It’s a low key nice little hangout venue, that hopefully doesn’t get too noisy or chockers.

Was my first time in here during daylight hours, and didn’t know they did food before now, but have since found that beer, chess, and a simple but very tasty toastie = great way to spend an hour in the afternoon when in C-Hill.
