I’m keen to come back to this establishment for some food, but this time around it was just for a coffee and catch up with some friends. They tote themselves as the best coffee on Lygon Street, and I would have to say that is a big call but the coffee wasn’t too bad. They have a really nice set up, but the outside seats are kind of on a slant which I found a bit awkward. Will definitely come back for some marina pasta, prices looked fairly reasonable and service was excellent!

I went to Seasons Provedore for breakfast with no pre-conceived ideas, but was blown away by how good it is! This is a serious contender for best Eggs Benedict in Melbourne! I’m guessing their hollandaise sauce is home made — it’s creamy but not in any way sickening. They used heaps of good quality ham off the bone, the eggs were a natural looking colour and poached to perfection, and the muffins were toasted just right. I really can’t fault it. The coffee was good too — not the best, but I can’t fault it either. Service was with a smile and but there was quite a gap between receiving our coffees and food… My coffee was completely gone by the time the eggs arrive, which I’m convinced is a trick some cafes do just to make you order another drink! I had a squiz at the cakes behind the counter — they looked full on but delicious, so I think I’ll be back in the near future to give afternoon tea a whirl!

I had just got out of a grueling Geology exam and needed something of substance(spending 2 days on nothing but Ice Break Double-Shot Coffees is not a fun thing I tell you). Thankfully, I managed to stumble onto Seasons Provedore, a tiny little café in the Italian district of Lygon Street. Ambiance: It was decently clean, with wooden tables and neat wallpaper. Not much quality with the decorations, but who cares, really? Customer Service: The majority of the service was pretty good. There was one woman who handled the register and greeted people — she was amazingly kind and gave directions to some of the other employees so I assume she’s some sort of manager or at least in a decently high position. One of the servers though wasn’t rude, but she could be more friendly. When my breakfast came, she just sort of plopped it on my table and left without a word. Not even a «Here you go!» Fine~ I don’t want to be friends with you either: c Food: I ordered the Florina(Eggs Florentine) which set me back 16 dollars. Not bad for a delicious breakfast of poached eggs, spinach, smoked salmon, english muffins, and hollandaise sauce. I can testify that they don’t skimp on the salmon or hollandaise sauce. Absolutely beautiful meal! — The Florina wasn’t the most incredible Eggs Florentine I’ve ever had, but it for sure hit the spot. They could work a bit on improving their service and maybe their overall atmosphere. This restaurant lacks a bit of the strange charm a lot of Melbourne-cafes have to stand out. But will I recommend it? Definitely.
