Cute little hair and beauty salon in a section of the Nicholson street shops. Tina is friendly and makes sure the customer is happy.

For some bizarre reason, I find the shops along Nicholson St in Carlton North completely un-​noteworthy. What I mean by this is that despite the number of times I’ve trammed it past the rows of shops in this area, which I do very often because I live around here, I simply don’t quite take notice of the shops. They just don’t stand out, or maybe I’m just not attentive to retailers in this area… horrible, horrible person that I am.
Whatever the case may be, I am the one losing out here, and I know this because of my recent discovery of the Dollhouse Beauty Salon, squished in amongst aforementioned shops. It took a brochure quietly left in my letterbox offering me an introductory discount price of $ 52 (normally $ 65) for a ladies’ haircut, wash and blow-​wave to get me in, and boy am I glad I did (I say as I throw my head of springy, glossy curls around seductively).
The sleekly-​bobbed Jasmine welcomed me into the salon, made me feel immediately comfortable with a easy dose of witty chit-​chat, and then snipped my locks into the glorious mane of hair that it now is (believe me, I was looking more Medusa than Vanessa before this).
Make a mid-​week appointment and the cut, wash, blow-​wave beauty extravaganza is yours for only $ 50 ($ 28 for dudes). I beweave!
