The Cammeray Square is really popular with families with small kids especially on a warm summer day. All restaurants here have outdoor seatings so we love coming here. Noodle hut is a Thai restaurant which offered a pleasant enough night out for 6 of us tonight. We really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. Fried rice was nicely seasoned with plenty of fresh veggies. The massaman beef curry’s serving was a tad small but was a great accompaniment to our fried rice. There were about 4 chunks of well cooked beef in it and were very tender. The curry was hot enough without burning our tongue. Salt and pepper squid was crunchy and well seasoned. Pad Thai was yummy with large prawns in it. Stir fried basil chilli chicken was just spicy enough for us. All dishes were good and on par with many good Thai restaurants Sydney is famous for but nothing stood out as innovative or markedly different or outstanding.

Cheap and cheerful — that is the story here. We dropped in for one of the i’m-too-lazy-to-cook nights n the way home and we were pleasantly surprised by the fresh produce on display and the number of happy diners already onboard. The menu is funny — usual chinglish and also the blackboard — almost took a photo as a couple of the errors were pretty funny — a sprig roll for instance, and noodls with everything! Anyhow, the food came quickly, it was tasty, fresh and cheep! I think we both ate for under 30 bucks, and it was pretty good. While we were there a steady stream of locals came in and out, many carrying wine and in groups, a good sign. And the in-house entertainment on the menu is retty gud! ;-)

Cammeray residents must have been thrilled with Noodle Hut set up shop in the new Stockland Arcade. Having a fresh, super quick and tasty Thai restaurant is oh so handy on those nights when you simply can’t be bothered. Yes there’s a Harris Farm just next door, but leave me be while I order my curry puffs and noodle stir fries. The menu hits all the anglicised Thai highlights and does so in delicious and sizeable portions. For orders over $ 25 there’s free delivery(even better for locals). Just nb there’s 1% charge for paying by credit card.
