The Rustic Table

When this place opened it was run by some passionate italians, who somewhat misguidedly thought what the area needed was an italian deli. Unfortunately, with Leos looming large just down the road, this proved not to be the case. The Rustic Table was then taken over by a new team, who have let the deli and produce sections dwindle, and sadly haven’t really found their focus, or point of difference, in a strip which already has several successful coffee shops. The menu is nothing you can’t get elsewhere, the homemade cakes have been replaced with more standard offerings, and nothing here is really making this place stand out. It’s a shame — there are so many things that could be done here, but the decidedly jaded outlook probably spells another turnover for The Rustic Table in the not too distant future.

Good coffee, cakes and freshly made-​to-​order sandwiches. Extremely friendly staff. Selection of delicatessen produce such as cured meats, cheeses and italian sauces. This place has become my local!
