Y Electric is a bike shop in Bondi, but it is an electric bike shop. When I saw this shop I was so impressed by the window display that I had to go inside. I was amazed at how reasonable some of the bikes were priced. I’ve never ridden an electric bike so I have no idea really whether they are much more efficient than a regular bike, but some of the bikes on offer there are in the same price range as many bikes which don’t have little motors on them. So if they are good I wouldn’t mind one, living around the city parking is such a pain (I got a ticket yesterday, aaaagggghhhhhh) and this would certainly be a possible transport alternative.
Also they have these really cute foldable bikes with little wheels, which could almost be mistaken for scooters. If you just lost your license, check it out.
