Average food, rude wait-staff and mediocre presentation. To start off, my first impressions were that the restaurant looked very nice, great overall vibe. Upon entering and receiving very cold service from the front desk, I proceeded to move to the location where my group was seated, up stairs. It was a nice spot, but I was still receiving odd looks from the staff, making me and my group quite uncomfortable. The food arrived and I was told off by one of the staff for not using my entrée plate for my entrée, and that the mains plate should be used for the mains. Is this not height of rudeness? I don’t mind eating all my meals on one plate, considering the food was passed to the table and we picked it ourselves. Be prepared to be pulled up for not eating the way they want you too. The food tasted average, nothing special. While I wasn’t paying, the establishment isn’t cheap for what it is and other locations should be considered that are a similar price. Overall, there’s not too much for me to praise here other than that the staff are rude and disrespectful to the customer, the food is average(the pizzas and pastas at least) and the physical presentation attempts to hide the business’s other flaws. I dont recommend millone’s.

I have been here a few times and it’s always been pleasant but not great. The meals are always huge. Which doesn’t always cover for the so so quality. This was very evident today as my wife ordered Chicken boscaiola with vegetables. The vegetables were cold but plentiful unfortunately again more isn’t always better. I ordered grilled giant prawns which were quite tasty.

Millones is one of the most family friendly places I have ever visited — large tables, bustling atmosphere without being so noisy I can’t hear myself talk, and lots of Italian inspired décor to get you in the mood for carb-loading! My family and I are big eaters and ordered a lot, so I am not going to go through each one BUT here are a few dishes that stood out… *suspense* 1. Ravioli Napoletana — Classic ricotta and spinach stuffing with a rich sauce, how could you go wrong right? But it more than ‘not wrong’, it was done ‘so right’. The sauce was creamy, and generous, and not too sweet. The pasta wasn’t chewy and the filling was delicious. 2. Tiramisu — One, it comes with vanilla gelato. Cream with cream? Always. It was also beautiful presented in a sundae-style cup, and wasn’t too sweet which I’ve tasted in way too many tiramisus. 3. Garlic Bread — I know, it sounds like a silly thing to get excited about, but it was rich and buttery, perfectly herbed and had a delicious crunchy bread holding it altogether. You couldn’t get better than this garlic bread. 4. Lychee Martini — Not a food item at all, but one of the tastiest drinks I have had in a while. FINALLY not a cocktail that is loaded with sugar, it had a decent kick to it and strong flavour. And an alcohol soaked lychee at the bottom of course. I recommend going here for sure!

Beautiful building. The food was ok without being great. A little overpriced but we found the service quite good. Parking was terrible Not really authentic Italian though. I could take or leave it.

I’ve been here quite a few times but held off reviewing it in the hope that it’ll get better. I have to agree with some of the other reviews that its pretty average. Its not bad but it just has potential to be so much better. It’s in a decent location, has plenty of seating inside and out, plenty of parking, and is decked out really well. Their menu has plenty of options, the staff are friendly and the prices aren’t too bad. Some of the food is a bit on the pricey side but then the drinks are really cheap so I guess it all works out in the end. The reason I can only give it 3 stars is that every time the food has come out its been the same, presentation is amazing but taste is not. They seriously put together some brilliant looking meals but the taste just isn’t there. Last time I visited I had one of their pizzas for the first time. Honestly I’ve had better from Domino’s or Pizza Hut so that kinda sealed the deal for me. They do BYO so if I wanted a place to meet some mates, have a few wines and some average food i’d happily go there. If I was after a really nice meal — I’d look elsewhere. A mate that used to go there a lot said it doesn’t work as its a middle eastern family trying to do italian food. Not sure if that’s true or if thats the reason but there is unfortunately something holding it back from being great.

Came here because my regular local Italian place was closed and overall it was a good feed, a few things were disappointing, desserts look great on paper but when they came out were a little disappointing. We ordered mango crème brûlée which was just vanilla flavour with some mango chunks at the bottom and the banana bannoffe pie which had too much cream and not enough caramel. We started with a salt n pepper squid entrée which was delicious & a large serving for an entrée. Drinks were great, I had a mango peel(mocktale) and a friend ordered a lychee caprioska, definitely recommend both drinks. I ordered the seafood risotto which was a bit too rich and my friend ordered the prawn hotpot which had no flavour or salsa and was served with plain bread. Overall I’d come again but would maybe try a pasta and pizza dish with a Nutella dessert! Can’t go wrong with that I hope!

ok food. nothing to write home about. has a bit of a 80s large diner feel and seems to be favoured by a few rugby players for some reason.

Couldn’t really complain. The food was okay and the service was okay. Have been here twice, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.

I have not had a meal here yet that I didn’t enjoy, and that’s saying something since I eat here quite often! I take my food seriously, and Millones is an italian restaurant that I would gladly return to again and again. Their food is DELICIOUS! Great portions as well, so you don’t feel like you’re paying mostly for the plate rather than the food on it. Their prawn risotto is a favourite, but their pasta dishes and pizzas are equally tasty. Staff are friendly and efficient, and whilst service may be a little slower than usual on busy nights, the atmosphere is enough to put you in a good mood so you can enjoy your wine whilst waiting for your food to arrive. The only con is that parking is hard to find, but aim for the car parks down the road and you should be ok. I guess my measure of how good this restaurant is, is that I always suggest it for family dinners out and even though some family members will say, «Millones? Again?» — nobody ever ends up refusing! If you’re after good, humble and delicious Italian food, this is the place to go.

Partial towards pizza? Fond of fettuccine? Gaga over gnocchi? Rave about ravioli? Love lasagne? You’re in luck –Millone’s features all your favourite types of pizza and pasta, served with an array of authentic Italian sauces, carefully prepared on the spot. We ordered a table for five for my brother’s birthday dinner a few months ago and were seated in a cosy booth. The menu offers a range of starters, platters to share, pastas, over 20 types of pizza, risottos, great grilled steaks, veal and chicken dishes, served with potatoes and seasonal veggies, seafood dishes and salads. Gluten free options are also available. We started our meal with the reliably delicious insalata Caprese: the classic Italian salad that combines red, juicy tomatoes, aromatic basil, fresh mozzarella cheese and a splash of extra-virgin olive oil($ 12). Pair this with generous hunks of crusty garlic bread, fresh from the oven and a refreshing 500ml San Pellegrino sparkling mineral water-bliss! Moving on to the mains, I chose the gnocchi aurora($ 19.90)-served with napoletana sauce which was tossed with a touch of cream and promptly delivered by a delightful waitress. In fact, the service was attentive during the whole evening and there was an efficient flow to our dining experience even though the place was packed. Anytime one of us needed more water or another serving of garlic bread, the waitress would appear out of thin air; I never had to get her attention. As a group, we all really enjoyed the satay chicken pizza($ 20.90) which features the chef’s signature peanut sauce. The serving sizes are quite big so if you want to try a few different things and still have room for dessert, I’d suggest skipping the entrée entirely. We were so full towards the end but a birthday wouldn’t be complete without dessert. The waitress realized what the occasion was when we were handing my brother gifts and cards while enjoying freshly roasted coffee, and appeared five minutes later with a slice of cake and a candle for him, and we sang Happy Birthday in the restaurant. A really nice touch. The nutella pizza($ 14.90)-topped with icing sugar, cream & fresh strawberries was impossible to say no to and a heavenly indulgence for those with a sweet tooth like me. If I was nitpicking, I would say the restaurant is a teeny-weeny overpriced(mains can be as high as $ 40) and can get noisy(I was struggling to hear the person sitting right next to me). Otherwise, a flawless dining experience! Pair tasty, authentic Italian fare with the warmest and most welcoming service this side of Italy, and I’ve just found my favourite new hotspot for a classy Italian lunch or dinner!

This spot has been a restaurant for many years, it spent quite a long time as a Mexican restaurant, which was strange as it is an original Australian sandstone house and never looked right. Besides that, the food was awful. When it closed down nobody in the area knew what it was going to be. We soon saw workman adding new bits and pieces and gardeners fixing up the garden. The car park was resurfaced and new signs put up. It was finally unveiled as Millone’s, a restaurant serving Mediterranean and classic Australian food. It was a welcome change to finally have somewhere grown up to go to. My first visit was with my son and his girlfriend. They had been and had told me how great it was. We got there at 6.30, a little early I must admit but great timing for the restaurant because they were just starting to fill up. We ordered and then sat back. Ten minutes later our entrees turned up and they were delicious. I had the mezze plate which was aselection of home made dips which were really srumptious. My son and his partner had the seafood platter, a mix of seafood for two sized as an entrée. The staff were very pleasant and the waitress who took our orders was able to accept the banter from my son who thought he was being funny when he wasn’t. Our mains arrived and there was a problem. My meal wasn’t what I had ordered. We told the waitress and she said she was sorry and if I didn’t mind the wait she would order another. There had been a mix up with the orders. I had ordered the mussels in a sauce and I had received a plate of seafood pasta. I told her if there was a wait I would have what they had served, it was quite alright, it looked nice anyway. She again apologised and said they would take it off the bill. Ten minutes later she came back and even though I had started on my meal, she had the mussels I had ordered. She felt really bad and said she would leave the dish for us to enjoy, which I must say my son did! We then ordered desserts and coffee. We really enjoyed our meal but when they brought us the bill at the end of the night not only had they not charged for my mains(which were both eaten) but the coffee was complimentary as they had made the mistake. We didn’t expect anything as they had already lost on the extra plate. It was very generous and obviously a ploy to get us back. They don’t have any worries there, The food was great and the service excellent. Millone’s has a bar and a function room.
