Popular with the locals and always seems to be busy after the morning school drop off. A little pricey for what you get but staff are friendly and it’s clean.

I popped into E’Latte for a coffee recently and was the only one there. It wasn’t too wet, it wasn’t too cold, it wasn’t too weekdayish. Call me crazy, but being the only one in a café weirds me out. Despite being completely uncomfortable, it was a good cup. If you’ve been reading my reviews you’ll know that I am perpetually disappointed by baristas when I ask for my long mac. This one wasn’t burnt(a great start) and the little dollop of froth was delicious. Worth braving the weirdout.

This little café offer the best coffee in Ashburton. Perfectly brewed, the right ratio of milk to coffee to froth, and not too hot. They really know how to make a good coffee. E’Latte are open all day every day, and sell everything from hot beverages, to cakes, to light meals. Much of the food on offer has a Greek theme, and particularly yummy are the Greek shortbread(if you like almonds you will love these). Great atmosphere, I like sitting in here with my laptop while I work away. The staff are friendly, and don’t try and rush you out. It gets busy, but not over crowded. Definitely worth a peek.
