Hands down within the top 3 pizza restaurants in Adelaide. At just $ 19.90 for their pizzas, this place is authentic, affordable and perhaps the best value for money in Adelaide. As a small restaurant, you walk in to the middle of the kitchen as you enter the restaurant. Both times I have been, I sat upstairs and both times, the staff were lovely and attentive. Their pizza dough is soft and their toppings are of good quality. They have a range of pizzas including one that has potato and Gorgonzola along with your typical Italian style toppings. The gnocchi is amazing as it is so soft and is baked in Gorgonzola. I highly recommend it. Try EST Pizzeria and I am sure it will not disappoint. I intend to go back here for a third visit and fourth, and fifth, etc…

Fantastic place to go in winter, great thin crispy authentic wood oven pizzas, unique beers and good wine selection. Great view over parklands upstairs.

Who doesn’t love pizza? It is comfort food right? There is something about a well cooked pizza, it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. This is what EST Pizzeria will do for you! I was drawn to dine in Est due to the massive amount of Unilocaly love in reviews. You know that this is a good destination when all the Unilocalers can not stop raving about a restaurant. Est is simple, they offer a range of simple pizzas that are executed well. I think sometimes other pizza places try a little too hard to be experimental with toppings and flavours. But really, a good pizza comes down to quality of base and sauce. The toppings are like a side dish. The base here is cooked to perfection, not too thick and holds form when held up to eat. The sauce is flavoursome and too not heavy. We ordered a side salad to go with our pizza. It was a green leafy salad drizzled with a tasty dressing and grated cheese. A perfect pair to our meal so we did not feel to naughty about eating pizza. But, wait! You don’t have to feel too naughty about eating pizza at Est, the pizzas are quite light and are not dripping with oil. I left feeling full and not exhausted from fat. I should also mention that they cook their pizzas in a wood oven. It is set up inside the shop and you can notice the difference in flavour with the pizza. If you are in town and you have a pizza craving in the East End, Est if your destination!

Eat Pizzeria is a little gem. The best pizza I had for a while, and while their menu offers a couple of other dishes, we end up sharing pizzas every time. Some simple and amazing flavours, the staff is happy to explain the more unusual ingredients. There is outside, downstairs and upstairs seating, and often you can get a spot as a walk in on the weekend. May have to wait up to 20 mins, but they are happy to take your number if you want to have a glass of wine around the corner and will call you when your table is ready. Forget about the cutlery, just tuck in with your hands, they are precursor! And not to forget, they do gluten free versions.

we just happen to stop into this place based off the Unilocal reviews. we didn’t have a reservation but were able to sit downstairs. the wine list was pretty small, red or white, but it was not bad. the normal sausage pizza that i had was great and we also tried the gluten free pizza with no cheese. the salami was overly salty but not bad for gluten free. we tried the polenta which was pretty amazing. all in all this is a nice little place that i would go back to.

I was anxious about dining before the Fringe show that we were soon going to see but from Est Pizzeria I could see the crowd at Rymill and Rundle Park. It was a really great spot. After waiting we went upstairs which had the inviting feel of an apartment. I drank South Australian reds while my wife drank local craft beers from Lobethal Bierhaus. I loved that their wine list was written in chalk and changed as individual bottles were finished. We shared a mushroom pizza with smoked scamorza and a potato pizza with gorgonzola and sage. Both bases were thin and light.

I love this boutique little pizza shop :) I had heard for quite some time how good the food was at EST, but had never been. One night I was out with Mum and Dad and becasue they regularly stay in From St, we have eaten at most of the restraunts in Rundle St, and I would have to say, we are useually not that impressed. So on this occasion we decided to go for a wander and see what else we could find :) We got to the end of Rundle St, and Dad suggested we wander down to where all the people were sitting outside on East Terrace — and I suddenly remembered that EST was there and remembered all the good things I had heard :) My Mum has a gluten and dairy free diet, so that is always a consideration when trying somewhere new — but this was no problem at all — they said they could do any of their pizzas in a GF option with no cheese — and that they had a number of gluten and dairy free options in the other meals as well. EST Pizzeria, as the name suggests, focuses mainly on pizza, REALLY good pizza — but they do also have a small selection of other meals(useually a Gnocchi and Polenta of some sort) that are all cooked in the wood oven :) Pretty much any of the food on the menu is guarenteed to be absolutely delicious, and I always find the staff to be really friendly and really helpful :) I have been here a number of times recently — and will definitely be back very soon. This is fast becoming one of my favorite places to eat in the city :) Tip: If you are wanting to eat with a group any bigger than 2 – 4 people — it would be best to call and make a reservation — as they are only a small space and can get full very quickly :)

Friendly staff. If the restaurant is full, they can make you a take away pizza, or take your name and number and call when a table is free. They provide excellent table service. The gnocchi and the pizza is amazing!

Having been EST I am sad to say it doesn’t live up to all of my expectations, given the prices and its generally positive reputation. The variety of pizzas on offer is great, with some interesting combinations that push the boundaries of your usual pizza expectations. However, I don’t think the quality of the food quite comes up to scratch. I’ve had a few experiences here with dry pizzas with toppings and sauces not pushed far enough out to the edges. I am always a fan of mushroom pizzas and their version is delicious, but the edges still seem to suffer a slightly dry and topping-less fate. Additionally, it is a small space and can get crowded and claustrophobic easily. If you’re unlucky enough to be seated downstairs next to the bar/wall dividing the oven from the floor you’ll barely have enough elbow room to wield your cutlery and will be stuck right in the doorway and pathway of the waitstaff.

This is probably the best pizza I’ve had in Adelaide. The list of options is small, but all pizzas have very interesting and unorthodox combination of ingredients. The end result is a suite of very flavorful pizzas. The place is a cozy little restaurant on the Eastern side, away from the hub. The aroma from the wood oven definitely permeates the place, making your mouth water. Staff are very friendly and laid back, not trying to rush you but making sure you are a-o-k. Highly recommended.

I’ve been to Est about half a dozen times now and I have mixed feelings about the place. It’s a great size, in that it is always busy, and I have had some very good pizzas here, including my last visit. The service definitely runs hot and cold though. One thing that happened last time left a bit of a sour taste. We were lucky enough to get a table(for two) only a few minutes after arriving and the waiter had asked if we wanted some still or sparkling water as we were sitting down. Not really thinking about it in the blur of getting a table I assume one of us said we wanted still water. They brought out a bottle of water that looked cold, and the bottle a bit old, so I presumably it was cooled filtered water. Thanks. Then we get the menu, which is always quite light on options and we pick two pizzas to share(distinct lack of starter options: bowl of olives? no! bruschetta? no!). Then we wanted some wine. They don’t do a list and so don’t ‘do’ prices either. Normally this isn’t a major concern but somehow I just wanted to look at the selection and make a choice not have someone splurt out a bunch of booze at me. Anyway, where am I going with all of this. The pizza was good(and I am a bit of a pizza/pasta snob after many years in Italy for what it’s worth) and the wine was actually excellent. The bill was a surprise. We were charged $ 8 for the bottle of water we frankly didn’t want and had half a glass of each and then $ 55 for the wine that was good, but not 3 times the price of their pizza good. This may seem as me coming across as a tight arse. Like most people I don’t mind paying for good foor/wine, but I prefer to KNOW what I am paying for it. We’ll be back… but we’ll be wiser next time and save nearly $ 10 on water.

This is hands down the best wood oven pizza place on the east end. The menu is small, but the food is amazing. Choose any of the 5 or so pizza, or the pizza of the day and you wont be disappointed. All pizzas are $ 19.90 and are good for 2 people of average hunger. Try the freshly made gnocci or polenta to compliment the pizzas. For desserts we had the crumble, which was made right infront of us. Simply put, everything they cook here is simple and very delicious. Good as a romantic end to the start or end of the night. The attention and setting of the restaurant does make you feel very special. Easy to just walk in on a weekday, though for groups bigger than a table of 4 you should book in. Definitely one of the hidden gems in the city. I was there again last night during the fringe, and they still managed to fit us in.

I’m not sure whether it was just because I was having a fantastic evening with a large group of friends, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Est. This small, boutique-style restaurant is very quirky(be careful not to slip on the flour by the stairs!), but very enjoyable. We ordered almost every pizza on the menu between us all and I can’t recall any complaints. They were simply tasty, particularly the fromage pizza which surprised me because I’m not a fan of blue cheese at all. My only complaint about this place was the service. The servers are friendly and helpful but they were terrible at remembering our orders. We somehow ended up with an extra pizza and a completely incorrect main(although we didn’t make a fuss because it was incredibly delicious regardless). They also stock and recommended a great beer so that’s always a plus! Be sure to make a booking, particularly on popular evenings and for groups larger than 4.

Another top contender for the pizza crown of Adelaide. These gourmet pizza’s masquerade as seemingly lacking in ingredients, but are amazingly awesome and only priced around the eighteen dollar mark. You’re certainly get a bang for your buck with the ‘Mushroom’. A plethora of many different kinds of delicious fungi from local regions, topped off with porcinis and scamorzas. Something about this overwhelming organic flavour from the shrooms is addictive. This is a must try for any pizza lover(who doesn’t like pizza anyway). The thin crust is heavenly but beware the limited seating so reservations are almost required.

Est Pizzeria just recently opened up on East Terrace, and I just can’t get enough. Seriously, seriously good pizza. These wood oven gourmet pizzas are made from the freshest ingredients with gluten free options. The store interior is super cosy(by that I mean tiny) and perfect for dining in any season. What I love about this place: hot staff, good music. Add the pizza, and you’d have to drag me out of there. Add the extensive wine menu, and you literally will have to. The staff are extremely knowledgeable about food AND drinks equally, which is both rare and impressive. The place is available for functions, and I would recommend booking as it gets pretty packed quickly, and it hasn’t even been around for that long. I love all the pizzas here, but especially love love love the Pumpkin, and Mushroom pizzas. I haven’t found a better pizza place in Adelaide.

This is a simple pizza place which provides gluten free options and usually a gnocchi, or polenta dish to complement the Pizza offerings. They also have some pretty groovy dessert — although only a few choices. The wine list is simple and thoughtful and the antipodean water tasty, as far as that liquid goes, which is packaged in appealing, unique bottles. This place is tiny, tiny, tiny. At the centre of the interior is the wood oven where they work their magic. There are a handful of tables inside and out — but count yourself lucky if you can get a spot without booking! The pizza is simple, thin, crispy and fairly light on the toppings in the true Italian style. Don’t be fooled by the pan size of the pizzas… they look huge, but if you’re hungry you’ll easily demolish a whole one due to the lightness of the base! I know I have!

«Est» is Italian for East, and this East Terrace pizzeria is Adelaide for delicious. Est has a very simple menu with only a few pizzas to select from, but what they lack in choice they more than make up for in taste, and deciding still proves difficult. All the gourmet pizzas are visibly made from fresh ingredients in the wood oven located in the centre of the first floor. You can curl up near the oven in winter, sit outside in summer, or take in a great view of the parklands on the second floor. The background music is continuously at an acceptable level to allow for conversation, and patrons are welcome to make requests or bring in their own music choices… which has resulted in me bopping my head to Michael Jackson’s «Remember the Time» many a time. The almost entirely male staff are second to none. All waiters know their menu, have an extremely thorough knowledge of wine and spirits, and what pairs best with what. At times they have an almost psychic understanding of what style of wine or spirit you’d like and at what point during the meal. As a whiskey drinker, I found that quite impressive. They’re also pretty easy on the eyes and I’ve been in and overheard a few gangs of girls drowning their relationship sorrows in both the pizzas and the view. On my last visit I was explained that their general food menu stays pretty static, but their alcohol selection is constantly changing as they want people to have the opportunity of trying various good quality drinks with their meal, and always suggest trying something new. I have never had to book a table, but I have had to wait up to 15 minutes for one. Est is not quite a year old though and as word gets out about it I am certain it will get harder and harder to get a spot.
