We were served raw chicken and salmon with scales. I’m surprised they had the audacity to bill the table after such a cock up. Drinks were way overpriced and the food that was actually cooked was mediocre. Service was adequate.

the only good thing about this place is they are open very late. but you may get hairs in your food. i ordered a risotto delivery last night and there was the longest black hair intertwined in all the rice. GROSS.

Walked in without a reservation. Instantly shown to table and initial service was quick and efficient. Ordered wine and was grateful to receive a taste prior to deciding. Nice touch. Bread didn’t come in advance as expected but had to be re-requested once mains arrived. Food was ok. Nothing special but nicely presented and tasty. Once mains were done table was half cleared and then … nothing. Had to ask to have table cleared by which time it was getting too late to contemplate dessert as we had a child with us. Disappointing tend to the experience. Sadly would not recommend based on this one time experience. Hope that this experience was not typical of what to expect at this restaurant. In an area so blessed with an enormous choice of restaurants, competition should keep everyone on their best game.

This is Adelaide’s famous all night venue so you have to rate it that way(on this night I’d give it 5 stars anyway but bare in mind we didn’t have a full 3 course meal but it’s not really that type of place anyway). We had never been here but we were hungry after a late theatre show so we tried it. At 12.30 I was expecting pizzas only but they had a full menu. The place actually even has a nice feel and ambience inside! I would suggest after 1AM the crowd may sometimes become less choice but again surprisingly there were no late night yobbos. We ordered the oysters and the Barramundi special. The service was amazing, at that time of night you want to be served quick and we were. The oysters were fresh(the turnover in this place is so great they tasted like they just came in) and the Barra was superb. The topping on the Barra was similar to a Pazziola but better with shallots, ginger, garlic, tomato sauce etc, the best I’ve had, and here! At 1am! I’m a convert or just lucky. Also the chips(I’m normally not a chip person) were amazing! large and lightly paprika dusted.

The pizza is more of an American style. Can not classify it as Italian as they advertise it. Great for late hours and after clubbing. The location and service are perfect too, If you are hungry late at night, it is a good option at the end.

I think that San Georgio is one of the bests pizza makers in Adelaide. I have ordered a couple of times and I enjoyed their effective customer service and the fact that the food was at my door step on time. I find the prices very reasonable for the quality of the food they serve, so I would say that the prices are very good. I also like that they deliver food at really late times, so that’s perfect for me as working until really late. I enjoyed a lot spaghetti carbonara which was very close to the truly Italian recipe. The source was a bit oily so I am not sure if non-Mediterranean people would enjoy 100% such taste but in general it was very tasty. Moreover, the portion was really good, so believe me, with a dish of carbonara you will feel«full»… I also enjoyed tortellini with chicken. The tortellini seemed homemade and I liked it a lot. Again, the chicken source was a bit more oily that usual but nothing to complaint about. In a nutshell, I truly recommend this pizzeria!!! Thanks

Without doubt one of the best Pizza makers in South Australia. I order from them all the time. Their garlic bread is the best. I love their Specials Pizza.

Leave any high expectations(which you probably shouldn’t have if you are walking in here at 2am in the morning after a long shift or after a heavy night of drinking) at the door because this place is not like the Italian restaurants you’re used to eating down the street. Conveniently it’s opened pretty early at 11am and until 5am which by Adelaide standards is pretty damn good. It’s basically an alternative to heading to a fast good joint say McDonald’s or Hungry Jack’s. Is it any better? Hm, not really but a slice of pizza or a serving of pasta is a nice change from the ever diminishing sizes that are of those big macs. The apple pie is generous in portion size but definitely tastes like they got it from a supplier. First few bites into their pizza tastes pretty good but after a while you realize it’s not that great and it only tasted good because you’re hungry and it’s either 3am or 4:30am. You would think it’ll be a cheap feed but it’s about the same prices as their much more superior competitors down the street. The place isn’t too grimy and unclean as one would expect, and the food could come out a bit quicker but nothing too major to complain about in that department. Would I be back again? Most probably. Nothing entirely horrible but not great either.

Thought I would give this place a go on a busy night. Initial impression was pretty good, and the place looks inviting. Great variety on the menu and friendly staff. We got off to a good start, the garlic bread was really nice and that’s where the good ended. I ordered the lasagna expecting layers of pasta sheets with mince in between and a good sauce, but what I got was pasta sheets with bacon in between and a really average orange looking sauce. Wasn’t impressed. They also somehow got my friend’s pizza order mixed up and we had to wait for another pizza to be made. I wouldn’t come back anytime soon. 2 stars for the good garlic bread and staff.

Ordered food for delivery, was told would be an hour wait. Food arrived in half an hour, which was good. Food was not — pasta was cold and unappetising; schnitzel meal had no chips and too much salad; prawn cocktail not worth the price. I probably wouldn’t return in a hurry.

Late night hunger pains = a visit to San Giorgio’s. You may regret it afterwards but certainly not at the time, when you’re greeted(for the most part) by friendly staff, often backpacker-types and treated to a warm-ish reception. The obviously Italian menu is not too extravagant and just what you want for a stupid o’clock feed. Pizza, pasta, main dishes. It’s all acceptable and cooked well. You know if you’re heading here at a ridiculous hour you’re going to encounter some grubs but these people are just like you… P*ssed and hungry. Don’t judge. I like a fettuccine or a penne if I’m going for pasta, they split the pizza if you want half and half and the rest is as I said, perfectly acceptable. Don’t go home without having something, you’ll regret that more so in the morning.
Pretty average place. Canned asparagus on the ‘gourmet’ pollo pizza… Yuck! For a 15″ in pizza it was 29.90… pretty poor. I would probably pay 20 for that… Also the tomato sauce on the base just used dried basil probably just Leggos pizza sauce or something… I guess if you don’t mind the trashy pop beats and clinical fluoro ambience or you just want a late night feed you will enjoy this place. But in my opinion Scoozi’s is a surer bet than this place.

They are open until 5am, and from lunch onwards, which is pretty amazing in a town like Adelaide. Convenience does not always go with quality … but it sure as hell does at San Giorgio. I tried the vegetarian risotto, which was full of veggies and was actually quite good. It was also really filling. For $ 22 dollars, I did feel like it was on the expensive side, but still, it was good. I’d be curious to try their pizzas, though they also seemed a bit pricey(plain 9″ for $ 14).

Normally, I’m here because it’s late, I’ve had a few drinks, and I want something other than a burger or burrito(nothing against burritos though, burritos are great). Recently, I went with a few friends before drinks, and tried the seafood risotto. Often I’m too scared to try risotto at restaurants, so many times being served something no better than what I make myself. For the second time ever, I’ve now had an excellent restaurant risotto. The stock used gave a real depth of flavour, and the perfect level of saltiness. The seafood was of high quality, with four big mussels, and many good sized prawns. I never really considered San Giorgio’s as a serious, good quality Italian restaurant. My opinion has now been decisively changed for the better.

San Giorgio was a lovely restaurant and one that I shall definitely return to. The pizzas taste authentic and Italian, ingredients were fresh and tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive but above all the whole atmosphere was great. You can see the kitchen area where the pizzas were being prepared and the gelato cabinet is something that I shall have to try next time. The pizza is very filling and I managed to sample a few different ones whilst I was there, all of which tasted amazing. Pricing was reasonable and this seems like the best place to get some great Italian food(that I am aware of) in the CBD.

22/12/2011 A bottle of corona, a glass of red wine and my slightly tipsy hot date made my San Giorgio experience VERY enjoyable. An extensive European menu, older classic restaurant décor and attentive service made sure anyone had at least something to choose from. Whether you bring your best friend, your potential marriage partner or your first date, this is a comfortable place to take your companion. I’ve been here several times before with my best friensd, and it never disappointed because the food and cosy feel of the place. You can potentially get lost for hours in great food and intense conversation. I love the fact that the waiter is more than willing to suggest the right drink or right dish for you, if you’re getting lost reading through their menu. There’s not much to hate about this place. It’s just straight up nice, warm and you an feel settled right in as soon as you take your seat. Depending on what hour you go, it can either be really peaceful and quiet, or packed and busy. No matter what time, there is something available to order even late on a Friday or Saturday night. The only criticism I have is that the San Giorgio staff appear a lot more serious and focussed, relative to some of the staff in other restaurants I go to for lunch. Maybe this is better for a place with class, because they did a great job for me anyway.

Back when I was a night-owl, this place was one of my regular go-to spots during the week for late night coffee. Why? Simply because they stay open later than everybody else does. Staying open until 5AM is an incredibly smart move by the owners, as there are essentially no other cafes/restaurants in the area to compete with in the early hours of the morning. And, because of their dedication to stay open later than everyone else, late-nighters such as my former self are found in abundance at this establishment. Customer service at San Giorgio is excellent, and the staff is very extremely friendly. I guarantee by your third visit, they’ll know your name and how you like your coffee(assuming that you’re as friendly and talkative as they are!). The coffee is great and the food is delicious and well-presented. Whilst renowned for their gourmet pizzas, the garlic prawns are a must try for any fan of seafood — it quickly became one of my favourite seafood dishes to get when in the city. The best thing about this place is that there’s never any rush to finish your food or gulp down your coffee — so long as you’re out by sunrise, you’ve got all the time in the world to enjoy your meal!

San Giorgio has provided me with tasty meals, excellent service, and just plain shelter for around 2 – 3 years now. I love that it’s open till a ridiculous hour, and not just for coffee or dessert — for actual meals too! The owner is pretty much always there and working, and sometimes throws in an extra garlic bread or two. I love love love garlic bread, so that’s me won over. The staff are friendly, despite how busy and hot it gets inside. Thankfully, there are lots of outdoor tables available too. On a Friday and Saturday night this place can become your safe haven, a place to refuel before battling out the rest of the night. As previously mentioned, I love garlic bread so this is probably(very) biased but their garlic bread is amazing! It’s super thick and crunchy with extra butter. Sometimes I order it with cheese and mushrooms for an extra dollar or two. Perfection. The carbonara and salmon pasta are yummy as well, but my favourite would have to be the marinara — ask for it spicy — and the San Giorgio pizza. As for the rest of the menu, it’s nice but I would stick to what I know: pizza and pasta. Don’t let the slightly dark and depressing interior cloud your judgement of the food and atmosphere. This place is great for a bunch of friends eating out at any time of the day, any day of the week.

Adorned with pictures of Tony Montana, and Elvis Presley, these guys strictly mean business when it comes to interior decorating. San Giorgio is open until 5AM every morning, and also offers free delivery in the surrounding CBD. I have to thank this business for sobering me up in such a tasty way over the years. I’m pretty sure they’ve saved my life at least once by keeping me off the road. In saying so, it would be unfair to label this establishment as a foot traffic stop off for booze hounds, as the food on it’s own is actually very good, and I have no criticisms either when it comes to the service. I seriously don’t think we dine in for pizza enough these days, and this place serves up a mean slice. ” Say hello to my little friend!” «Thankyou very much!»
