It was our sixth day in Istanbul(first trip in this beautiful city) and we discovered a new neighborhood at Kadıköy with the help of the fantastic Istanbul Unilocal community manager, Gulfem: Moda ! Moda is a bit like Williamsburg in Brooklyn with this lovely coffee shop: Böcek ! When we pushed the door: we were waited with nice little tags with our names on it(Elisa D. and Philippe B. from Paris ;) Welcome !!!) And how surprised were we, when we heard French language showing up with a pinch of southern French accent ! It was Ziya and his big welcoming smile. We had a very pleasant time at this place with a very good brunch. We enjoyed the salty part with vegetables, cheese, eggs, simits(Turkish bread) and the sweet part with croissants, Nutella, jam… The tea was unlimited and served in the traditional beautiful glass in the form of a tulip and the lemonade was super good. The jazz session was a bonus as the most beautiful gift of this day was Ziya ! Take care and see you soon ;)

My Comment will be in my English with a French accent(Is it not Mustafa ??) to be able to share with all of you dear friends the story of an awesome brunch in dö(like in turkish and not zö like in French) middle of Moda. It was a hooooooooooooooooooo(I know too much o) ooooooooooooooooooot day of august in Istanbul the 16 to be precise a sunday. What a day to make a brunch isn’t it dear friends ??? I received a weird message from agent G, explaining a path for going to a secret hide. It was a door on a wall(yes I know a door is usually linked to a wall somehow because if not… it’s not a door right ?) looking pretty average. The hide was safe and pleasant even if the roof was a bit low on the first floor, and place between tables was a bit restrictive. But whole thing was not just about a brunch, like allways the secret agent G, from the MIR(aka: Men In Red) had just decided to make it special, for example with some live jazz. Well that was really good and I was willing to get to Böcek anyway so I killed two bird in one shot. And it was really unique because usually they were not doing such a thing at Bocek and it was well done anyway. Ressourcing a bit and eating a lot: P anyway it was really a lot of new people I never met before. A good sign that Unilocal is growing every day a bit more in Istanbul but best Part was the presence of two French Unilocaler from Paris !!! Prooving again that Unilocal is a big family World Wide !!! I’d like to specially thanks Elisa and Philippe for being there !!! All Unilocalers making me feel being on a place really special where everything was possible !! And Miss G. for such a pleasant brunch on such a nice place with such good music and such nice people !! God bless you and your brain ;)
