This lounge in Istanbul Ataturk airport services SkyTeam fliers, which includes Air France KLM and Delta. I was flying Air France from IST to CDG and since I have«Platinum» status and it was an international flight, I got to access the lounge. Coffee, hard and soft beverages, sandwiches, nibbles and snacks available for free, as well as a decent wifi signal and plenty of Turkish-style power outlets(same as in France, apparently) located throughout the lounge made my wait for the flight quite comfortable. Lots of seating options as well as a few free-for-use computers. I did spot some comfy«nap» chairs but as I wanted to sleep on the flight, I didn’t try them out. Same for the coffee.

On my last leg of my recent trip I got stuck in Istanbul overnight. Thanks goodness I was traveling business class so I was given preferential treatment and got an overnight hotel stay which all passengers got but with business class I got access to the different lounges at the Istanbul airport. Now this lounge wasn’t that great and had no inclusive restrooms but considering the circumstances I was glad to get a little bit of rest time and be able to freshen myself before the next flight. This particular lounge had a very cozy feel to it not that big compared to the official Turkish airlines lounge which was humungous with three different levels. But this one has all the other amenities like wifi televisions tons of different types of token foods and drinks to refresh yourself before the flight. And specially when it is snowing outside and your flight is delayed extremely helpful to be inside and warm and cozy !!!

I was surprised when I was quoted a daily price of 20 euros for lounge access, when I’d read online that it cost somewhere around 30 – 40 euros. But then, there are only 2 massage chairs, and all of them were out of order. There are lots of kids all around. There are only 2 bathrooms, in various states of distress, although the staff does do a diligent job of almost constantly cleaning them. There are also 2 showers, which I didn’t see anyone use. The food was above average. There are lots of cold beers and there’s wine. Wifi is included in the price. It is probably far better than waiting at your gate amongst the hordes, but it isn’t anything luxurious or super relaxing. Of note, the other lounge(Comfort lounge) appeared even less relaxing.
