Mythos Meyhane

The restaurant has very poor service. The waiter received my friend’s order and walked away without taking my order.
The waiter came up to our table stared at us and didn’t provide a menu until we asked.
I got a salad and a couple of appetizers (tapas). The methos salad was good but ask them to go easy on the olive oils if one can. The tapas were pretty good but the availability various.

I didn’t read the other reviews (in Turkish), but how can this place NOT have 5 stars? It’s fantastic. Really, fantastic. The waiters are all super professional and the bartender is a doll to talk to. Once upon a time it was a hang out for train conductors and passengers hurrying from point to point, but with Haydarpasa shut down for at least another year (maybe indefinitely?), it’s taken on a whole new personality. We usually meet up for an after work drink at the bar (the price is discounted if you don’t want a table), but the sit-​down experience was really awesome. Okay, if you order tons of meze, wine, raki, main dishes, and deserts, the price can ease up to 300+ TL, but for the atmosphere, the service, and the quality of food, I can only say it’s WORTH IT. Make it the place for your next special dinner… you will not regret it! And you’ll probably run into me or my friends at the bar, too.
Btw, we didn’t try the calamari, but the presentation of it being served to other tables really made us jealous! Next time! ;)
