My first time trying Menemen since it was on my list of food to try in Istanbul. I did not have a benchmark on how it’s supposed to be made, but I like salt in my egg dishes and it was kinda tasteless for me, but after sprinkling some salt and pepper it tasted good. I liked the texture of the dishes, it’s sort of watery scrambled eggs with tomatoes and peppers. I wasn’t blown away but definitely a good breakfast dish dipping bread in menemen. Tea was little over brewed for me and I’ve had much better teas in Istanbul. Same thing for Turkish coffee, it was not bad but I’ve had better. The place is nice and clean, and good to get away from constant hustle bustle on the streets around, as it very close to Galata bridge and spice market.
