Absolut empfehlenswert. Besuch ich fast jedes Weekend.

After coming back to Zurich from a long day of touring in Luzern, I was feeling up for a casual dinner, so my friend recommended this place to me. The store itself is really well kept and the layout of the place is quite spacious. I simply went for the takeout sushi, which was quite a basic selection, but the California roll and flower salmon roll that I got were delicious! The sushi rolls tasted quite fresh and weren’t too expensive. Portion-wise, both the California roll sand flower salmon rolls came in boxes of 6-pieces, although some other selections had more. I went back the next day to try their dessert selection, and the chocolate mocha ganache was pretty good. But the matcha tiramisu was amazing! I highly recommend this dessert to anyone who likes matcha, because this dessert although light, is also quite decadent at the same time. Overall, really like this place, even though I only tried their takeaway foods.

Compared to other sushi places Yooji’s offers a good deal. Except of the very good organised take away section, just another sushi kai bar with a belt.

This place is ridiculously expensive for its sushi/sashimi, okay pricing for its noodle soup, which they broadly advertise, but it turns out that the sushi is okay while the soup noodle borderline inedible. This is a sushi chain that delivers fast food sushi in a box, or in conveyor belt style, which, in this case, is in the basement. You can grab pre-made boxes as soon you as you walk in, or you can order either from a bunch of machines on the side, or at the front where the counter is. If you order on the computer, they will call your number when your order is ready. I ordered their chicken soup with soba noodles. The entire thing was bland and tasted like it was made with soup packets. They don’t skimp on the chicken though — although dry chicken in tastely soup doesn’t seem like a good meal, even if it is abour 10FR(which is not expensive). My boyfriend ordered lightly grilled tuna sashimi and salmon. Four pieces of salmon and four pieces of tuna and a bottle of beer was 30FR. No one can be full from that. I would recommend you come here if you are not too hungry and order a bit of sushi/maki. That or do the conveyor belt if you have money to throw away. Don’t get the soup noodle dishes!

Frühes Abendessen bietet sich also an.

So zusagen unser Stamm Lokal in Sachen Sushi.

First time in Zurich. My husband(newly weds) and I are staying at TownHouse boutique hotel, which is right next to Yooji’s and a couple blocks from the train station. Location was convenient. The food was excellent, good display and taste. Service was very fast(we went around 3PM). Although it was expensive, the experience and good food was worth it. We ended up eating dinner there also and ate beef and fish noodle soup. Not used to the sushi chefs pre-making the sushi before you get there, but they were very clean and followed good food safety procedures from what I saw. Each maki order was 4 pieces, which ranged from 6 – 9CHF depending on what you order. For the same amount we would have payed for a nice dinner in Wengen, but we left fairly full and pleased. We will probably eat here again before we leave.

I love sushi and i am always looking for an excuse to eat some sushi. Even though swiss sushi doesnt get near the tastiness of japanese sushi, yoojis is a good place to eat sushi in zurich. The staff is always nice and wants you to have a good time(and eat lots, of course) and their sushi is fresh. My favorite must be the ‘green dragon’ sushi i believe its called — it has jalapenos in it but is not overly spicy. Or the italian rolls with the cooked tuna inside. Mmh! The salad wraps are great, too, i like the vegetarian ones the best, even though i usually dont like shiitake mushrooms or arugula. Try it! They’ve got some very non-traditional fillings too, which is fine, because its tasty as well. Their salmon is great, an you should know te drill: good salmon means good sushi, most of the times :) They also offer green tea ice cream or mochis(japanese sticky rice dumplings???) which are yummy. I love them. I’d give this place a go, but be aware that it is not so much a cozy getaway restaurant. Its more on the commercialized side of chain retaurants.

average sushi, good(and large) chicken soup(with udon noodles). for a quick meal on bahnhofstrasse it’s OK, being also not too pricey(Zurich-wise).

Out of personal preference, I went for the belt. At peak time, right after 12:00, all seats are taken and you may have to wait a few minutes to be seated, but nothing excessive. Each seat is equipped with a tablet for ordering(german/english language), assistance and information display; each dish from the belt can be put on top of a small disc, which will make a description of the dish appear on your tablet. Food on the conveyer is always fresh, thanks also to the amount of patrons, but for things like sashimi a direct order is still advised. Pricey, even for Zurich standards, considering the size of some portions(sashimi is REALLY expensive). I would not recommend it as an everyday destination, because the price/quantity ratio is a bit off, but it’s definitely a place worth visiting on occasion, the food quality is definitely good. TL;DR *** pricey but good, menu’ also in english

I have to admit, I’m not really an expert in sushi(although I love it :)), so I’ll try my best to describe the food! I decided to try this place because I wanted to have a quick meal before taking my train, and the spot is perfect if you want to avoid the expensive and bad restaurants at the Zurich HB(this is for another story: P). The sushi place has two floors, but on this day they were having some sort of private party so i could not really see what was on the other floor. The place is more a fast food than a restaurant, so don’t expect a fully Japanese experience. I like what they did to the place, there is a combination of stools and bars and booths and you might end up eating at the same table of a stranger which would be a nice idea to mix up a bit with people :) You first choose your menu from a big fridge then pay at the counter. I like this concept because you don’t have to wait for the people who don’t know what to pick. The place offers a lot of varieties of sushi and sashimi(don’t know if all of them are really Japanese though), most of them were OK to me. I was a bit disappointed as I did not find a any Tuna fish sushi. To me the big drawback to any japanese fast food is that the sushi are stored in a fridge so when you eat them the rice is cold(I believe you are supposed to eat it at room temperature). The quality of the salmon was good, it had this nice shiny look that indicates that it is fresh, and the rice had this nice vinegary taste. Prices were decent(almost low for a sushi place in Zurich) and service at the counter was fast and good. I’ll return there!

Most of the Yooji’s locations have a small waiter-service area and a larger conveyor-belt-sushi area; in this instance, the magnetic dishes wander around the basement, and the waiters wander around the ground floor. This is the first time I’ve done the conveyor belts at Yooji’s; the place color indicates the price, and each has a small cover. One thing I had to keep reminding myself was that you can order à la carte using the touchpad at your place — if there’s something you want you don’t see on the belt, have a look. Most of what we got was«quite good», a little was«odd», and one salmon maki smelled like it had been on the belt for too long. Not cheap and not stellar fish, but a fine mellow place where you can graze at your own pace.

As a Japanese person I’m ashamed this chain exists. I guess you can’t expect much from sushi in Zurich, but this is a bit of a joke. I went in prepared to dine on good sushi and came away from it not having eaten more than a bite. The sushi looks pretty but doesn’t taste good or fresh, and the cucumber salad tastes more French than Japanese.
