Four Points by Sheraton

Wir waren gestern im Four Point am veganen Fondueabend des Veganen Gault Millau Gourmetkiches Raphael Lüthy von Educhefs. Das Ambiebte ist stylisch und äusserst funktional, der Service top zuvorkommend und die Entspannungsoasen im Hotel sind nebst dem Restaurant Rampe Süd und der Bar auch das hauseigene Asia Spa im Sihlcity. Stets ein Besuch wert, nicht nur zum Übernachten.

Such a wonderful hotel, great location, quiet, clean, easy to get to with public transportation, and close enough to interesting walk-​able places such as old town and Bahnhofstrasse. The staff in the lobby are very welcoming and friendly — Katja and Anna were so helpful in finding us a place to dine where they could accommodate my food allergies. They made a reservation on our behalf at Swiss Chuchi and gave us a path to walk to kill some time until dinner. We were able to explore Zurich’s Fraumunster, Grossmunster, and also Lake Zurich.
If I return to Zurich, I would definitely stay here again!

Superb location in the midst of shops, restaurants and a mall. Hotel is clean and modern, my room was actually pretty good sized considering it was Switzerland.
Restaurant breakfast buffet was nothing to write home about. Good selection of coffee and teas, actual maple syrup to put on waffles or pancakes, lots of fruit. Not sure I’d pay good money for it, but if you can get it included in your room rate or have it as a part of your SPG check-​in gift, it’s worth it.
Gym is problematic. It’s part of the spa, which is a paid facility. You might be able to sweet talk your way in there with promises of only staying for the gym. If you have Platinum, they give you a spa guest pass.
Overall, great property.

A great place in the middle of a square, I can only recommend it.

Located next to the Sihlcity shopping complex, the Four Points is a nice, dependable lodging choice when visiting Zurich. The rooms are quite large, modern and comfortable.
There is a swanky bar/​lounge called Urbano in the lobby where you can get local Swiss beers and snacks. It actually gets a bit crowded in the evenings, even on a Monday or Tuesday. There is also a restaurant, which serves a nice breakfast buffet. As with most things in Zurich, it’s pricey at 30 CHF. For whatever reason, they do not open until 6:30PM for dinner. I am guessing this is a European thing.
Guests have discounted access to the Asia Spa. It is a tad bit annoying that you have to pay in order to access the workout room.
My one complaint is that the wireless Internet connection was nearly unusable. Even when you could actually connect to one of the SSIDs being broadcast, the registration process was unwieldy. You have to provide a cell phone number (and it must contain the country code, otherwise it’ll be rejected) and then you get a username and password combination.

Das Fourpoints by Sheraton im Sihlcity ist ein Hotel der gehobenen Klasse. Es befindet sich an der Kalandergasse nahe beim Haupteingang zu diesem neu erstellten Shopping Center.
Das Hotel verfügt über 132 Nichtraucherzimmer mit modernem Design. Das ganze Hotel ist klimatisiert und im Zimmer hat man Dusche, Flachbildfernseher und bei Wunsch eine Badewanne. Die Zimmer gibt es ab etwa 300 Franken pro Nacht.
Das ganze Hotel ist integriert in die ehemalige Sihl Papierfabrik, aufwändig wurden neue und alte Gebäudeteile kombiniert. Das grosse Kamin erinnert noch an das Fabrikgebäude, wie die umliegenden Bauten. Es wurden aber auch komplett neue Gebäude errichtet, wie dasjenige in dem die meisten Geschäfte, der Coop und die Garage untergebracht sind.
Sehr empfehlenswert beim Four Points ist das Asia Spa, das wohl grösste Erholungszentrum dieser Art in Zürich. Ganz oben im selben Bau wie das Sheraton befindet sich diese Sauna/​Spa und Fitnesszone. Man kann auch ohne im Hotel zu übernachten diese Services gegen Bezahlung nutzen. Und wer die Atmosphäre noch günstiger erleben will kann sich beim Eingang einen Cappuccino gönnen. Das hat es für ein Business oder Freundschaftsgespräch immer genügend Platz frei.
