Ausgezeichnet sortierter Sportladen und wohl auch das grösste Geschäft Zermatt’s. Im Obergeschoss befindet sich der eigentliche Verkaufsbereich. Im Untergeschoss befinden sich Mietskis, Mietschue, Schlitten und was man alles für den Wintersport benötigt. Nette Bedienung.

Fine outdoors store, right on the way to the Klettersteig. They advertise «4 floors», which is fairly normal — but this time around it’s the ground floor, one above, and then two basements. Rental gear is in the first basement.
Klettersteig /​via ferrata gear in the summer is fairly straightforward, and CHF20 for the day — cheaper than I’d expected. New-​style EPS helmet (rather than hard plastic), a harness with speed buckles, and a progressive-​tear via ferrata setup; mostly very-​new-​looking Petzl gear.
Front desk staff was polite, if uninterested in dealing with rental customers; the rental desk was much more friendly.
