Mr. Pickwick Pub

Convenience is key here. Great location and you meet people from all over the world! There are also plenty of locals! Beer is a bit overpriced and the food doesn’t excite you but go here for a neighborhood feel!

Great burgers with some mean service! Our waitress asked me to go inside and get our silver ware and napkins but the table next to our had their waiter brings everything to them! Seems a bit discriminatory! Won’t return.

To be honest, the city center of Lucerne does not have the best options if you just want to grab a beer or drink. So… I ended up at an Irish pub. Not ideal, but I did enjoy my stay. Their beer selection is good but not great. The staff are friendly, and all speak great English (however, none of them seem to actually be Swiss). The prices are high, but this is Switzerland so it was expected. I did not try the food, and it only looked «okay».

Don’t know about the food, but it seems to be the only bar open (other than pricey, fancy hotel bars) at 11:00 on Monday night. So far, the gin & tonics are good (not sure about price, but fact that locals come here suggests it should be reasonable (relative to other Swiss prices)) [Note: prices turned out to be 56 Swiss francs for 3 Beefeaters gin shots, 1 Blue Sapphire shot, two tonics, and 1 coke zero],. Nice local crowd showed up at 11:00, and the bar staff are entertaining, speak at least 3 different languages, and are quick to serve (glass wasn’t empty more than 1 minute before I was asked if I wanted another). Soccer and cricket on tv, dartboards (bring your own real darts to use real boards or pay a franc per person to play with the plastic, electronic dartboard), no smoking inside, but awesome waterfront outdoor area. A great place for a nightcap.

A great place for a beer with friends. They serve your typical pub food — burgers, fries, and other fried foods — and their fries actually come with a delicious ranch dressing on the side that isn’t typically found in Switzerland.

Mr. Pickwick steht für Pub, Pub-​Food und eine akzeptable Bierauswahl. Jedoch steht Mr. Pickwick auf für 1×10er-Note=1xPint, was gar nicht geht.

Tolles Pub inmitten der Altstadt von Luzern, direkt am Fluß nahe der Kapellbrücke. Intrnationales Publikum, tolle Stimmung, englische, irische und holländische Biere. 1 Stern Abzug für die etwas überteuerten Preise.

Wenn der Hunger dich Packt du in Luzern bist und ein Burger essen willst, welcher unglaublich lecker schmeckt, dann bist du genau richtig bei Mr. Pickwick!
Das sehr schöné Englisch eingerichtete Pub ist als ob man ein Ausflug nach England unternehmen würde. Sobald man sich für etwas zu essen entschieden hat (Ich empfehle den Giantburger mit Fries) muss man den an der Theke bestellen.
Der Burger ist nicht gerade billig, aber man wird nicht enttäuscht.
Das Fleisch ist super lecker, der Salat Knackig Frisch und das alles in einer grösse, welche man nicht erwarten würde.
Wer dann noch die Fries dazubestellt hat, der sollte unbedingt die H2 Sauce probieren. Eine rauchige, säuerliche Ketchupähnliches Sauce. Sie ist einfach nur super Lecker. Ich verzichte nicht mehr darauf. Wenn sie hier im Handel wäre, dann würde ich immer mindestens 1 Flasche zu Hause haben.
Es werden auch immerwieder Fussballspiele der Premierleague live übertragen und auch Championsleaguespiele werden nicht ausgelassen.
Zum Ende: Mr. Pickwick für Englischliebhaber, wie auch Burgerliebhaber ein muss!
