Went here last weekend. Nice bar and the bartender was skilled. It’s just a shame that they are using low price liquor and spirits to mix their cocktails with. There is a BIG difference to mix a Tom Collins with quality gin or some low price budget liquor. Food was okey, the shrimps were great, the steak didn’t taste anything and the chili mango salsa that came with it was boring. The concept of Plock is that you suppose to be using 3 – 4 small dishes per person and then share together like tapas. I love tapas and I think I almost tried every tapas restaurant back home in Stockholm, so I know how good tapas should be like. Unfortunately Plock is not one of them. Sorry.

Plock is fantastic. It has a lovely atmosphere and usually there is some loungey music playing. It’s the perfect place to grab a drink and intimate enough for small bites coupled with great conversation. One of Uppsalas finest, without a doubt. The food is tasty and comes in tapas-sized portions; allowing you to sample three or four dishes at a reasonable price. The service is usually very attentive and the drinks are tasty and reasonably priced.

When I am in Uppsala for work, I am buzzing around to meeting after meeting, then work dinners, then catching up on email, etc. Late in the evening, when I am done, I often head to Plock. I am a huge fan of this lounge. Although it is located in sleepy Uppsala, Plock has a big city feel — sleek and modern, yet very cozy and relaxing. They have a fully stocked bar with a wide selection of beer, wine and liquor. They are always playing good music that is electronic-leaning. On weekend nights, they have a DJ spinning all kinds of stuff. Also, although Plock is not a huge space, they can easily accommodate large groups. I have been here many times over the course of several years and Plock never fails to please.
