Ok so here is a quick review: Butter chicken– is not typical butter chicken– it has a strong coconut flavor. Not great to be honest. The rice– standard. The naan– fresh and tasty. Aloo gobi– not very flavorful. Chicken tikka appetizer — really good, flavorful, tender and good chutney. Vegetable pakoras — not standard but decent. Good service overall though and reasonable prices.

As I recently discovered, this Indian place in Malmö does not kid around when it writes«stark»(strong/spicy) on the menu. Oh well, fortunately I do have the superpower when it comes to tolerating chilli, having been raised in Indonesia and grew up eating sambal(chilli sauce condiment from my country), so my very spicy Bombay aloo didn’t really burn a hole in my throat. But holy crap that was spicy! I was dragged here by a Malmö dweller who frequently haunts this place when I admitted that I fancied Indian food for dinner. The décor is kitschy, as expected from this kind of place, but they do have good food compared to many Indian restaurants that I have been visited here in the far north. They have also a lot of different varieties compared to the usual biryani, masala etc and plenty of vegetarian options that might be interesting to try. Then again, I am not Indian, so I couldn’t give out certification of authenticity when it comes to the food they’re serving, but I would say they serve good food, plain and simple. Service was friendly and efficient, something that was probably a rarity in Copenhagen but quite the norm on the other side of the pond here in Sweden and I can’t really say anything much than giving this place a four-star review. Yay for real spicy food!

Great food, great service. The owner is talkative and homecoming. We found out their naan bread is homemade and they have a special oven for it. We recommend the naan and the Bombay Alo. Good prices. We come here every time we find ourselves with an Indian food craving.

Food is OK but overpriced. You can get equally«good» indian at half the price in Malmö.

Tried their butter chicken masala, the chicken tikka sizlar, and spinach shrimp. Can recommend all three, but especially the butter chicken! The décor isn’t super-hip or anything, but the attitude of all the servers is great and the owner is very welcoming. Highly recommend for a casual night. My score: 8.5÷10

If you like Indian food — this is the place to go when in Malmö. It’s located close to Möllevångstorget(square) in a lively and up and coming part of the city. Loads of bars and other restaurants around here and a real buzz on weekend evenings/nights. Food is great I think. They don’t have many veggie sides on the menu, but if you ask for a half portions of their main veggie dishes you will get that(for half price). Don’t be put off by the décor, it’s a bit dated — like in so many Indian restaurants around the world really. Usually very busy on a Friday and Saturday evening. Highly recommended.
