Bun Meat Bun

Hey yay! After all the hype, I’ve wanted to try Bun Meat Bun for months now.
So glad I did!
Unlike a lot of the other Stockholm burger joints, there are just two basic burgers, a veggie option, and one signature burger. I really liked the idea of the thinner patties, so that you can double up and it doesn’t feel like you’re breaking your mouth open just to get a bite. The Beachtown BBQ was yummy, and the Onion Cheese, while simple, was really tasty as well.
They have regular fries, as well as two different kinds of toppings. We had the ‘Nice Fries’ and loved them. They reminded me of In N’ Out with the caramelized onions on top. Two people sharing fries was enough, as the portions are pretty big!
Overall it was an enjoyable visit. I didn’t mind not having any beer, as burgers tend to fill me up pretty quickly, so I don’t like drinking beer with them. I would definitely recommend this place. And now that they have a location in Söder, you/​I won’t have to travel too far. Win win!

The unfamous burger, which brings so much love and hate to the society. This is another venue in the order to conquer the throne of Stockholm. Yet this place is located outside the city centre, its still part of the burger squad that started emerging a couple of years ago.
This place is something in between simple fastfood of the street and a more regular burger chain. Inside they have about ten tables and you order by the counter, after that its just to sit down and wait for the buzzer make a fuzz.
Menu is quite simple with three different burgers, they also have three different stages of advanced fries, but you can go plain if you arent into that. I had their BBQ burger with plain fries which was served after a couple of minutes. Came late lunch and it wasnt too crowded, so it was easy to get a spot. I dont know whether this was a lucky shot, or if its the case everyday nowadays when the hype has cooled down a bit.
Anyhow, the burger!!! Which you actually can get in two sizes, was in my opinion just about right. Two smaller juciy patties which gives just about the right amount of meat flavor. To that add some crispy bacon and cheese. It reminds very much of In N out, and it might even be the closest relative you can find in Stockholm. The bread was fresh and soft, and not to rustic which can blow it all of.
You got plenty of fries, and it was served in a separate tray. They were freshly made and crispy, which is how they should be in my opinion.
My last words to sum it up would be that it was a great casual burger, served in a clean environment, and i guess it cant be any other score than jackpot!

I love this place! I have had burgers from many popular burger joints in Stockholm and this one is by far the best. I hope they will open more locations closer to the city center in the future because Farsta is a bit of a trip.

Simple but delicious burger with cheese and fried onion. I was very satisfied with my burger and fries but the chipotle dip sauce should have had more strength.

One of the best burger places in Stockholm. Well worth a visit if you are in the southern areas.

Fantastic juicy burgers and very good fries. The patties are very thin so you won’t get them medium rare. Go for three layers if you’re hungry. Also, don’t forget to order one of the wonderful Boylan sodas.
Bun Meat Bun is located a three minute walk from the Farsta Strand subway and thirty seconds from the Farsta Strand commuter train station.

This is good, this is very good.
I had the double cheeseburger, single bunburger, fries and fancy fries (Yeah, had everything except the vegetarian burger on the menu =)
Anyway,
The double cheeseburger is the closest to a five guys burger (wich is one of my top burgers I like) you can get in sweden. Meat is awesome, frying of the meat is perfect, the bun is very very soft. And the taste is GREAT!
The fancy fries with dressing and fried onions is nice, but a tad bit to much yellow mustard to my taste, but that is very individual.
My friend who joined me tought the burger was a bit salty, I can agree but I personally like that.
Bunburger was very nice, but as the owner (I think) said the doubles are better since you get a better meat to bun ratio. And I couldnt really eat two double burgers in the same sitting. So next time I will try to double bunburger and a single cheeseburger to compare them.
This is for me one of the top places in stockholm right now for burgers.

Good quality ground beef makes this burger joint stand out from most Swedish burgers. It is not a Booche’s burger, but heck Swedish cows are cold, and they don’t get to eat grass very long. The menu is limited, they offer two kinds of burgers, and fries, that is all, but it’s better to do one thing well than lots of stuff only fair.
That said, it is not an American style burger, the do not have dill pickles, tomato or red onion and they put a sauce that is too close to the Golden Arches «special sauce», Good meat does not need more fat in the form of mayo. They do have American style mustard. On the third day after opening it took 34 minutes to get two burgers and fries, I hope this improves, otherwise they will loose lunch business. Another thing is that I didn’t see the staff washing their hand after drinking and taking money. Otherwise, this place is near a 4 for what they do.
If you are in Farsta, and craving a decent burgers, it is worth the trip to the end of the line at Farsta Strand.
