I come here fairly frequently for the board gaming on Wednesday evenings. The location is nice. Good lighting, decent tables, the proximity to beer and water. But it’s not a great pub and the food leaves a lot to be desired. I honestly can’t say I’ve had a single good meal here in the last two years. The beer is below average for for a craft beer bar, and especially for a Bishop’s Arms. The staff has been… «meh», in my time here. A lot ask snobby and one has been nice. If it wasn’t for the gaming I wouldn’t see a need to come here, especially when the Bishop’s Arms Hornsgatan is in business.

Good for beer — food not so much. We tried the bean burger, quite alright but not worth the price. Had the«famous» bacon cheese burger — didn’t taste anything so we needed to add a bunch of ketchup to compensate. Both burgers were dry and the waitress didn’t ask us how we wanted them. Only asked me what drink I wanted and forgot about my gf — bad service. We had to wait for our food a very long time and we’re quite disappointed when we left. Most likely never coming back(at least not for food).

There are a handful of Bishops Arms in Stockholms, but this is one of the best. It is located in the hip/cool Soder area of Stockholm. And is fairly convenient to one of the busses that goes nearby or even a reasonable walk from Gamla Stan. On to the beer, these folks know their stuff. The staff is in-tune to their products and one can tell that they are passionate about great beer. A tap list which includes quite a few offerings from Sweden, other Nordic countries and the U.K. The bottle list has beer represented from all over the world, including quite a bit of crazy stuff from the U.S. As GT mentioned, some of these bottles are difficult to come across stateside. So if you like craft beer or just want a stiff cocktail in a comfortable setting, this is a good bet.

A top place in Stockholm for beer: less fancy than Akkuratt, great service, quiet and calm. Still looks like a UK pub inside with some English hand pull cask beers. A very impressive bottle lists boasts beer from Iceland, Narke Kaggen, Alesmith, Port Brewing, Three Floyds. Lots of random oddball rarities including US beers that are hard to find even in the US. Taps are mostly Swedish crafts. Correct glassware, proper pours, and very friendly staff with some good recommendations. Probably my favorite beer bar in Stockholm.

The Bishops Arms is a chain of pubs owned by the owner of Elite hotels. They are often located close to or in an Elite hotel but this is not always the case as can be seen here. I am generally not really fond of the chain restaurants but this is an exception. There of course a few bad Bishops arms(such as the one on Vasagatan, by the central station) but most are good. The one on Folkungagatan is one of the best. The food is good to be pub food, the menu changes fairly often. The selection of beer is excellent, usually more than different on tap and many more on bottles. There is also on excellent whiskey selection. As it is Sweden it is of course not cheap but food is good value and beer is slightly more expensive than in other places but the quality is far superior.
