This is by far the best Systembolaget store in the city center! Their selection of beer, wine and spirits is very good! They have a wine cellar where they store their best wines. They also offer wine tastings which is quite unique for the stores if the government monopoly. The staff is always close by so if you are in need of assistance or advises they will assist you in no time. I strongly advice everyone in the city center and in need of alcohol to visit this Systembolaget, the only thing that will disappoint you might be the price, but that’s not their fault :-).

I am not at all a fan of the government limiting the selection of alcohol available to buy(as well as limiting opening hours and setting the price) but if one has to be limited to the government owned stores this one is by far the best. They have an extensive selection of beer, wine as well as other alcohol. Especially some of the small lots tend to end up here. The staff are often some of the best and most knowledgeable so it is often a pleasant experience shopping here as it is easy to have an initiated discussion with them. They also offer wine tastings with varying focus areas and regions. The tastings are pretty good and decent value for money. The place tends to get crowded before major holidays and just before closing before weekends so if possible best to avoid those times.

Probably best beer store in Stockholm– look for the yellow and green octagon sign. This one is on the ground floor of a mall so you have to walk inside a bit to find it. Ambiance is sterile, grocery store style. Very utilitarian. Loads and loads of German and Czech macros in cans. They have singles of a lot of weird stuff, all the Belgian trappists, Orval, BrewDog. They get limited release stuff like Great Divide Yeti and local, top rated imperial stouts. Prices are higher but very reasonable for Stockholm. I ended up buying a good deal of Mikkeller beers I’ve never seen for sale in the US. For beer tourism, it is much easier to just kill the bottle list at top rated local bars. But this was worth the stop I thought. Not out of the way or anything since it’s in the downtown business district. In general, Sweden makes it difficult to procure beer to go. With that said, they will get special orders from time to time and may even take requests from customers as far as I know.
