When you’re in Kungsholmen on an early afternoon, it’s getting late for lunch and restaurants start bouncing you, your Unilocal/Tripadvisor/Booking lists are finished, you start accepting the idea of a kebab, you find yourself in front of a small window shop that could be one of the least visible, least assuming restaurants you have visited. Then you enter and the place is as charming as it is cozy, and in a few minutes you’re eating one of the best rumpsteaks of your life. Too bad that it’s hard to notice, because Styrelsen is the kind of place I’d have very happily returned to, had I not found it entirely by chance in the last day. International cuisine with very strong competence in french cooking, a very interesting, much varied menu, professional, swift service, prices that are not scary at all for Stockholm: this restaurant should be on more guides, and I should go back and try the evening menu, because for now this review is based more on the experience than on the food, but if everything is like that steak with Really French fries, OMG. Must go back.

Excellent European food in a genuine Stockholm context. Yet, outside the touristic mainstream. The setting and the personnel really makes you feel welcome. Having finished an excellent deer filet, you just want to dwell and share another bottle of Barbera d’Alba!

Charming service and wonderful atmosphere both indoors and outdoors(I’ve been here twice). Bartender is creative and fun, made tasty drinks from the preferences I told him, that were not on the menu! Ankleverterrine(duck terrine) with brioche was so good. Also the truffle risotto(pictured). Looks small from the street but really opens up with the back garden. Recommended!
