Soap Bar

Was here two weeks ago… Don’t know why I didn’t review this place the day after. I guess I can blame the hangover. Either way, was great here. I came with a couple of friends, before the party/​dancing got started. The people are very stylish. I felt a little underdressed. Damn it! haha well if you come ladies, dress to impress.
I’ll definitely come back.

Prices were super reasonable, no cover charge and a great crowd for small Saturday. Nicely done Soap Bar.

Young diverse group of people, 20 – 30’s on average. Amazing cocktails though pricey; spent about 500 SKR on 4 drinks. (I think that’s about $ 75 USD, so you do the math) Went on a Thursday night around 10 pm and it was a good mix, not too crowded. We got in easily and found a table by the window. By midnight, however the place was packed. The DJ was playing some great music ranging from hip hop/​hits to EDM and euro techno; all good for dancing, though by 2am, we really did not have space to dance. Pretty international, attractive crowd; met locals from Stockholm as well as vacationers from northern Sweden, along with British, Turkish, French and of course American clientele. I had never been dancing in Europe before this, so I don’t have a ton of experience… but I really appreciated that, unlike in the US, the men didn’t just automatically come up to you and start grinding away in creepy manners!
If you want a glam, cosmopolitan and modern night out, this is my recommendation!

It’s located on the corner of a building opposite of Dramaten,
At first look you might wonder what place it is, It’s usually packed on the minimal area where you can sit and smoke and the line is often long! The reason is, the place is good, very good!
They open at 16pm and close at 3am every night and it’s free entrance! It’s on weekends it gets crazy here so be there early, I mean it! If your not there before the line you won’t get in unless you’re on a guestlist! Other days of the week Soap bar isn’t packed but there is still many people to mingle with!
Protip: Did I say the charge premium…
I would recommend it for anyone who wants to have a goodtime with goodmusic and with people who wants that aswell!

The bar has been around for a long time and thats obviously a first good sign. Drinks are normally expensive in Stockholm, but this is even steeper.
So why would you go here?
First of all there is no entrance, secondly, clientele is young professionals and party ppl, and finally, venue evolves every night from lounge-​bar-​club.
Yes, I said every night, this is the place to go no matter if you want to party on a Monday or a Sunday.
But be aware if you come late, it will be a line! And when its full there is no room for more ppl and line moves slooowly.
Still not convinced? Go there, any night.

For the beautiful night in Soap Bar I would definately give 5 stars. But my experiences are only about the party night at this club. I cannot judge the daytime business. I haven’t eat anything there this night. The drinks are very expensive but I think this is nothing outrageous for Stockholm. They played good house and dance music. It was very crowded between 11 and 3. They’ve got a nice smoking area outside with heaters.

Die Karte bietet die üblichen Verdächtigen auf und das ist manchmal auch ganz gut, denn im Falle eines abfallenden Zuckerspiegels will man kein Risiko mit der Bestellung eingehen.
Die Bedienung war vorerst etwas zurückhaltend und hat uns erst recht unwirsch bedient… aber das Ergebis auf dem Teller war ordentlich.
Cheeseburger und dazu kann man 2! (zwei) Beilagen aussuchen — wir haben uns für Salat und Fritten sowie Salat und Krautsalat entschieden.
Alles tadellos — der Burger super angerichtet, der Salat gut abgeschmeckt und der Krautsalat auch ok.
Der einzige punkt: die Rechnung. Nein der Preis war auch Ok und das Eiswasser gab es kostenlos (wir hatten Wasser ohne Kohlensäure bestellt). Aber wir haben nur, trotz Rückfrage, keine ordentliche Rechnung bekommen, sondern nur einen Ausdruck — ohne Namen der Bar etc. (braucht man halt fürs deutsche Finanzamt!) bekommen — daher einen Punkt Abzug!
