Scandic Park

Scandic Park Hotel is a medium sized hotel perfectly situated in a quiet neighborhood north of the park «Humlegården», just a few minutes walk from the city centre of Stockholm.
In a standard room the room and bathroom are pretty basic. The minibar is replaced by an empty fridge, instead it is possible to buy snacks, sallads and sandwiches in the lobby. In the bathroom there are containers on the wall for soap and shampoo (provided by FACE Stockholm) but no conditioner or body lotion. This agrees well with the overall impression of the room, ok but very basic.
I really like the breakfast buffet though. Loads of freshly baked bread, scrambled eggs, bacon, yoghurts, cinnamon buns etc. Not a huge selection but everything is fresh and nicely presented.
If it is your lucky day you may run into Zlatan, or any of the other players in Sweden’s national football or ice hockey teams as Scandic Park is their official hotel when in Stockholm.

Good rooms with heated towel racks, but don’t be late for breakfast.
I overslept on my first day in town, and went down to find the breakfast mostly gone at 10am, and completely gone by 10:10. What I was able to grab as they removed the trays was tasty, though — 4-​minute eggs, some sausages, reasonable bread with butter and jam.
Rooms were comfortable, with fine beds and the locally-​common heated towel racks; we didn’t get a balcony, just a door that opened to a railing and open air. Sleepwalkers beware.

Eigentlich ein angenehmes Hotel, leider ein bisschen abgewohnt und die Rezeption ist sparsam besetzt, so dass man ein bisschen Wartezeit einkalkulieren muss. Die Lage in Stockholm ist prima, zentral (Ecke Sturegatan/​Karlavägen) und dennoch ruhig an einem schönen Park gelegen.
Frühstück ist ok, full self-​service aber alles was man braucht. Ich habe nur den in Schweden gern mal genommenen Hering vermisst
