This was absolutely one of the WORST hotel experiences I have ever had. EVER! The night staff is run by a woman named Lena. She is absolutely rude and racist. Mind you, I am Korean and my wife is Caucasian and after a certain time they lock the front door of the hotel and you need a room key to get in. Well my wife decided to run across the street to McDonalds around 11:30pm and I decided to stay in the room. However my wife left her key in the room so she asked me to come down to get her. I did, and when we came back upstairs the front desk receptionist would not let my wife back up. She was extremely rude, she made fun of my Korean accent. She said my wife«could be a prostitute.» She went on to say that my reservation does not allow guest. I pleaded with her that she was not my guest and that it was indeed our second night staying at the hotel and that we were both guest. She would not let my wife back upstairs. She called the police and they were helpful but not good enough to give us a refund. If you are a person of values. I would not recommend this hotel. My wife was in tears and we ended up loosing money and having to go to a new hotel. I have never experienced racism like that.

I really like the location. It is close to many stores and shopping malls. Also the wifi is very good! Many restaurants and cafes are close by so that is a huge advantage! The tram stop is within walking distance.

The Good 1. Stellar location. 3 long blocks from the train station. Right off some great pedestrian streets. 2. The staff. Very patient and helpful. 3. The breakfasts. Plentiful, interesting and yes, crowded at times. 4. The rooms. Well designed, most are small(it’s Europe people!) I really liked mine. Closets aren’t important to me. 5. I had room 648. It was at the end of the pedestrian street. I could hear music from the street performers — it was really nice. 6. The blackout drapes work! Just remember to shut them! The Bad 1. The first night I was in a room with no windows. In my room there were several lights that were burnt out. 2. My room keys quit working at least 4 times. Once they gave it to me and I had to come right back down. 3. My co-worker was locked out of his room late at night and was told it would be hours before he would be able to get into his room. 4. The lighting in the bathroom is ridiculously bad. They are yellow, similar to the submarine lights the Red October(1990). I read the reviews and thought, «Whatever,» but no. REALLY bad. There are full length mirrors outside the bathroom, but no handy place to put cosmetics, so that can be a challenge The Ugly 1. Wifi, spotty at best. Even in the lobby. There was one night where I could not get ANY signal. I’m on a business trip, I NEED reliable WiFi. I have a booster in my home, there is no reason they couldn’t get a couple of these for the hotel. If the hotel isn’t going to make these simple things work, they should not take part in my company’s preferred hotels program. 2. I asked for a room that was quieter. What did they give me? A room with NO windows. I only had to stay in the room one night, but still… seems unethical. I had specifically pre-paid for a room WITH windows. Something similar happened to my boss a few nights later. It seems unethical when upon check-in, you are given an interior room and told there are no other rooms for you. I believe that, but if we had wanted those rooms we would have paid(less) for them. Don’t get me wrong. They are very nice and understanding when you call, but they didn’t upgrade any of us to make up for the«mistake»
