Die Lage gleich neben der Hauptbahnhof und mitten im Zentrum ist perfekt. Das Hotel sieht sehr einladend aus und das Personal habe ich als äußerst freundlich erlebt. Es hat große Unterschiede bei den Zimmern. Also unbedingt beim Buchen beachten.

A very nice hotel in most regards. I was initially startled by the tiny size of my room; then I remembered I’d booked a «cabin»(since I was traveling alone), and got used to it.(Despite small, it was designed well so it was never a problem.) I actually stayed twice; once my cabin was at the end of snaking hallways in the basement, the other time very central on the second floor. Naturally, the latter was nicer. The location is good: easy access to the train station for arrival and departure; close to multiple metro stops; lots of buses passing by; a reasonable walk to touristy parts. The services work well. The gym is small but well-equipped and really useful(and includes a free sauna). Quality amenities and nice features like a safe and various a/v plugs. The biggest problem was breakfast. Not the food or variety: the buffet was outstanding, holding its own against some of the really good hotels I’ve stayed in worldwide. But it was crowded, crowded, crowded! They even had a color-coding scheme to warn you about the buffet rush hour. It just made the morning more of a hassle than I’d have liked. But that’s a small complaint.

This stylish hotel spared no expense on luxury. Although I arrived to learn my room was initially unavailable, the concierge redeemed the hotel by upgrading me to a corner suite. The room was more than I could ever need for a two-night stay: massive living room with television, dining table and space for a small village; two bathrooms including an en-suite; a king-sized bedroom with a heavenly mattress; and – my personal favourite – a retro record player with several classic composers and artists. Contemporary pictures of hipsters highlighted by modern lighted really livened up the mood. Really great location, being right next to the train station, it was also within walking distance of the business district and water front.

Fun, Ace Hotel-ish type vibe with an outstanding breakfast buffet. The standard rooms are not large by any means, but they do manage to make a small space feel comfortable and modern. It’s a functional layout that doesn’t make you feel pampered, but does make you feel like you’ve stumbled upon something just a bit different and just a bit special for long enough to forget that you don’t really have a single queen sized bed, but just two twins pushed up against each other. I stayed here for a conference and thought that it was fitting for the occasion. Plus, the short walk to the Arlanda train station to the airport was also a big plus. Did I mention the breakfast buffet? Also don’t forget to visit their restaurant and see if the pork belly is on the menu. Outstanding.

It is a great hotel. The beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is a tad small for two people. Only one person can go in at a time. The atmosphere in the rooms is nice. Nice and modern. The staff speaks English and are nice. I enjoyed my stay here.

..we booked a package holiday in stockholm and with some hotel-research and a few clicks on the hotel website/google maps later we decided to sleep in the scandic grand central. its located in the middle of stockholm and locked very stylish and modern. first surprise is that its really really central directly besides the bus terminalen, where our airport coach stopped(flygbussarna, driving nearly every 15 minutes to/from arlanda). reception and foyer as first impressions were great, a little music in the background, an image film beamed on the wall behind the reception, nice furniture and glass roof. we got the last room on 2nd floor, so its very calm. we found out, that the complete hotel was renovated not long ago(dont know exactly, but everything is new with almost no signs of usage. our room was about 20 sqmeter painted in elegant dark-grey, the bathroom about 3 sqm but with extremely stylish white shiny tiles. breakfast is available from 6.30 til 10, but everyday was a battle to get a table for two persons. doesnt matter when exactly, we always had to search or wait for a place to sit. the bvreakfast itself was ok, but I missed some more bread and variety of ham/salami/cheese and fruits. juice and water were not that good out of a machine. warm meals were: sausage, scrambled eggs and beans for the british fellas(not very tasty) and pancakes. not bad but not great. Nevertheless I would definitively recommend the hotel. very nice rooms, helpful service, great location.
