Rex Hotel

This hotel is nice but nothing special. My rating is mostly for room 503 which is a «small single» that is basically a little house in the courtyard of the hotel. See my pictures in the picture section.
The room is kinda cool, it really is your own little house. If you don’t mind cramped places (which I do not) then spacewise this should be just fine. The only thing I wish was a bit bigger was was bathroom. Your knees are under the sink when you are on the toilet and the shower is one of the smallest I’ve seen. Hard to wash yourself without continuously running into the walls.
The room was styled nicely and it had a large flat screen TV with really good picture quality (not HD though… or at least I didn’t think so) if your into that kinda thing while you are on vacation. The bathroom was also styled really nice with dark gray tiles on the walls and floor. There was a towel warmer and floor heating in there but it was hot when I was there so they were not needed.
Being that this room is in the courtyard and that it was nice weather there were people talking outside for a good part of the night on my first night and then on the second night, there was a party with really loud music and loud talking/​screaming at one of the neighbors (this hotel is in a residential area). It went on all night and it was impossible to sleep. Also it was a bit awkward to have the windows open there since people eating breakfast could laterally look right into your room. Speaking of breakfast, I would say it is the same standard breakfast you get at most European hotels, but it was free.
The WiFi was pretty good. All you needed was a WEP password and you were on for your whole trip. No having to sign into a webpage every time you wanted to be online.
Finally, this hotel is not as central as it was made out to be. Sure you could walk to things from there which I did, but I would have rather stayed at a hotel closer to the center.
All in all, if I were to go back to Stockholm, I would look for some place else. This place was okay but I think I would be able to find better next time.
