Went there with work colleagues, had a preordered meal, mussels were interesting, but a bit bland. The tuna starter was good. I think the best were the tacos, but I guess you need more than 4 if you don’t order something else. Dessert was churros, with a weird eggy dip, I prefer the real Spanish chocolate one. All in all a nice experience, although a bit slow, more than 3 hours.

They messed up our orders a couple of times and missed some features that one would hope for at this type of restaurant such as new cutlery, plates and napkins. Its a confusing menu, but a really straight forward wine list. I would recommend reading up on the cuisine before getting there mostly because the staff won’t really bare to wait for you to try to make up your mind. Overall i would, probably visit again, but I don’t think the price matches the standards.

Publico for me was a complete disappointment. We went there for my husband’s birthday and I contacted the restaurant a month in advance to ask them if they can handle gluten intolerant guests. And of course they said yes, no problem. First of all the ambiance was completely off for me. The tried to be authentic but ended up just weird. There were big groups of women, so felt more like a Bachelorette party type of place. The staff was pretentious and unhelpful. I had to ask several times whether the dish is gluten free. In the end I felt very sick and actually called the restaurant the same night to complain. Overall, we didn’t enjoy our meal, overpayed for tacos. Any other F12 group restaurant I would go eyes closed. This one never again.

A few of my friends and I always go out for a ladies night dinner at least once a month. This month Público was on the menu. The location is lovely and the bar is gorgeous. We had a few drinks at the bar before our dinner reservation. We were 9 ladies so ordered quite a few different dishes. I specifically had the pork rinds, pork belly tacos and chips and guacamole. The food was presented nicely but the problem was the taste. The concensus at our table was a chef that liked salt. I like salt as much as the next person, but the food was VERY salty. Perhaps the plan was to salt you up so that you’d buy lots of drinks :/. We also felt the food was a bit pricey for the portion size. Our server was okay, but when the food was brought out, they kind of plopped it all on the table so we didn’t really know what was what? They also mixed the tacos on the same serving stand so it was kind of hard to tell what each dish was. We ended up figuring it out, but that was something that needs to be worked on. It was also a bit difficult to try and get the servers attention. It was Friday night, but we still felt like a bit more attention could have been given to us. All in all, the concept was okay and the food was okay. Get rid of some of the salt and the food would be a real winner.

Very nice restaurant with a lot of charming. Very tasty food with decent service. The only but is the price… For a serving of Tacos(2) 140 Swedish KR(!) Besides the price, I liked the place quite much! PS.: the restaurant has a bar where you can have a drink either before or after the dinner :-)

My wife, her sister and I had a reservation at 10.45pm on Saturday, March 7. The head waiter was very polite and professional. The rest of the service however was so poor I doubt we will ever come back. We were given menus but after that we could see the waitresses walk back and forth for the next 30 minutes without bothering to ask if we would like to order something. Not even something to drink. My wife and her sister finally just walked over to the bar and ordered their drinks. The were away for 15 minutes and I sat by myself at the table looking at the staff, smiling while trying to make eye contact with one of them. It didn´t work. A few minutes after the ladies came back with their drinks one of the waitresses walked over and stood reasonably close. My wife said«excuse me» and raised her hand while smiling. The waitress, a short haired, sort of Robyn look-a-like looked at her with a serious face then turned away again. My wife then says«Can we order some food» to which the waitress quickly responds«I am on my way» and it was clear she was pissed off at my wife. As if we she expected us to read her mind and somehow know that the first«excuse me» wasn´t ignored even though there was nothing to indicate she would come over to take our orders. We all ordered tacos, waguye, lamb and duck leg. Of course the waitress couldn´t stop herself from pointing out that the food we have ordered is very little. It´s difficult to explain tone voice when writing reviews but she was clearly annoyed at us. But by now it was almost midnight and we felt this would be enough food. And I get it, if you wanna go to this place to eat and talk to each other you best be there early. The music got louder and louder as they had explained on their website and I´m guessing the waitresses had to deal with increasingly more drunk people. But that´s still not an excuse to treat people like they did. Another waitress who we again had to stop when she walked by our table, took our last drink orders without asking how our previous drinks were, without a hint of smile on her face. She wasn´t rude like the previous one but she wasn´t very service minded either. The only person who made us feel welcome was the male head waiter who also served us the food and passionately explained what was in each taco. The tacos were ok. If you are not used to authentic food from Mexico and Peru you will probably think it´s great but we travel a lot and make much better food at home. In comparison, Restaurant Puta Madre in Gothenburg is far better than this place in every way.
