O’Learys

The dining experience was a bit of a Rollercoaster. It started out very strong with fantastic starters. When the main course came in, it was completely off. 2 members of my family had ordered chicken, but they got fish. After explaining it was the wrong meal, it was corrected nicely, at the cost of the sides for the burgers getting cold. After getting that corrected, everything was on par again. It was an exceptionally busy night, but my other dining experiences at this location have been good. Food was fantastic after everything was sorted out. Overall a pleasant visit.

This place is hilarious. So much Boston sports memorabilia on the walls. Plus it’s an official Arsenal — Sweden Supporters bar upstairs! Nice.
Typical sports bar atmosphere with typical sports bar beer prices. Friendly enough staff. Charming Swedish waitresses.
There was a signed (!) picture of Mayor Menino on the wall that I could not stop looking at. Who signed it? It couldn’t have been him. No way.
Anyways, four stars. Minus one star because no one laughed when I tried to pay for my beers with a Charliecard.

The waiters were very friendly and helpful. Pity that the order arrived wrong three times! We had asked for no sauces or vegetables, and the kitchen got it wrong three times!
However, the waiter was excellent and gave us a free drink and some popcorn to make up. Full marks to him, shame about the kitchen.

This is the second One of this chain I have visited in Sweden and both are just average at best. They attempt to give it a Boston feel with the décor but just seems too hard to try and replicate without the accents and types of crowds
Food, more to bar type is ok. But why can’t you get a steak or burger cooked well done. Does not matter how I order something here it’s bleeding when I get it. At least it did not walk off yet

I don’t know what it is with O’Learys and waiting time. It always takes forever to order a beer in the bar. ALWAYS. They should do something about the logistics. Due to all the orders the waiters/​waitresses takes you have to wait for all of them before they even look at you. Why not have dedicated bartenders for bar guests and the rest for the seated orders?
This place is good for a beer while you wait for your train if you don’t mind a stressful atmosphere. A good Guinness might take your thoughts away. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going here for dinner though, unless you have a couple of hours. (Due to waiting time)
I like the food at O’Learys, I really do, even if it is on the pricey side, but I would choose another location for dinner.
Ask kindly for a seat even if you are just having a beer.
They do not have smaller sizes than a pint.
They accept AMEX.

Came in for their Tuesday lunch buffet. Fried pork with potato dumplings and cranberries, onion sauce and boiled potatoes. They were also serving salmon.
Food was pretty bland. The salmon was underseasoned and dry, and the pork wasn’t much better. Fortunately, they also have a sallad buffet. Not much can go wrong with a sallad, can it? As for a quick lunch, this place is alright. But it isn’t a culinary experience. Not that I was looking for one. But even for a lunch pad, it doesn’t really cut it.

The thing that struck me most was how expensive the place is! We had the shrimp cocktail (135 SEK — waaaaaaay overpriced), the mozarella sticks with nachos, two beers and a glass of wine. We paid nearly 500 SEK, which if you ask me is about 200 SEK too much. Apart from this, it’s an ok sportsbar, you’ll notice how all seats have perfect view of a TV-​screen (all are cleverly placed).
