the first impression was not a good one; it took a while before anyone acknowledged me, even though a guy was shown to his seat right after my arrival. once seated, however, i was chatted up by a nice waitress and given a good wine recommendation for the smoked shrimp toast. i was a little disappointed that the bread for the dish was actual sandwich toast bread and not more like the crusty complimentary bread to start with, but i guess that’s just how the dish is served. you have to peel the shrimp yourself, which i didn’t mind at all since i got plenty of wet wipes. the aioli was properly garlicky and the pinot grigio managed to cut through all the strong flavours. while i was enjoying my meal, smoke from the bar drifted over to me. i suppose that’s just a part of eating outside. this is a nice place to enjoy swedish seafood in good weather.

This casual seafood place is one of several owned by the same family. And our server, Emma, on the night we were here, is the daughter of the owner so that was a lucky strike, for sure.
She steered us toward her favorites on the menu and she didn’t steer us wrong– the food was quite good!
We started with the beef carpaccio (served with beets, pine nuts and greens, delish!) and the herring done three ways. I’m not a big herring fan but my friend who likes that sort of thing said it was amazing!
For our entrees– I had the spicy fish casserole and my friend had a shrimp plate. The fish casserole, while purported to be spicy really lacked in the spicy dept although it was good.
For dessert we split the fresh made ice cream with strawberries. It was absolutely wonderful!
I really liked the ambiance here. The total restaurant is outside with awnings that can be drawn for inclement weather. They even provide blankets so if you are cold you can wrap yourself up while you enjoy your dinner. The bar area is perfect for relaxing in as there an abundance of outdoor furniture with comfy cushions to sink into and wile the time away.
All in all a great choice for alfresco dining!

Came here to the bar for drinks. Really busy, noisy, after work destination. Staff are friendly and there is some seating in the bar area, but lots of people have to stand. Didn’t try the food, so can’t comment on that, but definitely a good place to go drinking.
