fun place if you want diner style and simple food. Perfect for its waterfront location… Casual and fun, complete with fake palm trees and coconuts, etc. only drawback is that to a bit run-down. Needs some TLC(repair).

Fantastic burgers! Didn’t try the milk shake but I’m sure to do that next time since I will be returning here many time :-)

Went here and the burger was great. Good taste and nice consistency. The interiors were okay and the fries were decent, the onion rings were okay at best. It was a bit overhyped. However I think that the food truck from my previous review had better burgers and was cheaper.

I’ve been excited to try this place for awhile since everyone is raving about it. I was fighting the same feeling I had when I went to Flippin’ for the first time: this is going to be over-rated, but like my experience there I was ready to be surprised. But any burger joint in Stockholm has to stand in the shadow of the giant, so in reality this is a vs. Flippin’ review(with a caveat in the end). I told them it was my first time there and asked what I should judge them on and they said the original burger. Good that you can stand behind something that’s no frills — they must be proud of the taste of their meat. It’s «all Swedish meat» but she couldn’t say where from exactly. They do work the meat in-house themselves, which is good! I went with a double patty because I really wanted to compare this place to Flippin’ and try and find a comparable experience. Knowing what I know now, that was probably a mistake — more later. At first I really appreciated the taste of the burger! I could instantly tell the meat wasn’t as good as Flippin’(which literally melts in your mouth) but I liked the taste in general and there was something a bit salty to it which struck a positive note. I thought definitely a 4 star burger. But as the meal wore on, I found myself enjoying it less and less and finding the taste really plain and backyard-ish. I had a similar experience at Oljebaron. The bread was in the style of Flippin’ but not quite there. I did really enjoy the presence of diced pickles! The fries were completely average pub fries for me. I’ve heard people say the same about Flippin’, which I disagree with, but I don’t think there is room for argument about these ones. The milkshakes are REALLY thick. I got the Oreo which the hostess said was the lightest of the«special shakes» which she recommended over the others and my friend got the chocolate and something or rather and also commented about how thick it was. I don’t think this is a shake destination, BUT I said the same thing at Flippin’ before I found the Strawberry Cheesecake. In summary and in my opinion, the base of this burger joint is really a follow the leader story. I know the burger emits American dreams but this place is a very similar diner feel to Flippin’ with American«road trip» pictures covering the walls. The quality of the meat is less BUT I have been to Flippin’ on off nights and know they don’t always reach the gold standard either. If there had been just a few more things going right here it could have tipped the scales: if the fries were better, the buns, the milkshakes, an excited hostess who wanted to share the story with me, if it were Summer and I had just spent the day by the water… And to top it off it’s definitely more expensive than Flippin’. But why? I’ll admit one thing I messed up: I should have got a original burger and«pimped it out»(their words) with the add-on toppings, or gone with one of their in-house styles. That’s where I would guess the best experience is here, and then it might be a better one. I would return and get one of their styled burgers, fries, and a beer on a warm Summer day. But not for the quality of the burger or anything else unique about Lily’s. It’s a great asset to Hornsbergs Strand, and a good option. But vs Flippin’? Loss by TKO.

First, let me say I’m a lover of a good burger. Secondly, unfortunately this place does not live up to my expectations. There was a lot of hype around this place during the Stockholm burger boom of recent years, and living very close I’ve really hoped this place would live up to the expectations. After giving these guys more than a few chances, my conclusion is that sadly however, it has not. Burger are ok-ish, but far from great burgers and given the price you pay I was expecting something much better. I prefer Flippin Burgers or Svenska Hamburgerköket any day of the week.

We’re looking for the best Burger in Sweden. In March we test out Flipping Burgers & yes: it was the best Burger we enjoy in Europe! Now we went to Lilys Burger in Kungsholmen/Stockholm. The Burger Bar looks like a Diner straight out of the 60s in America. The Burger Team needs only 6 Minutes between order and serve. Our 2 Burgers were delicious, but one of them was a little bit greasy. The bun was tasty and the fries were okay. Lilys Burger isn’t as good as Flippin Burgers, but it’s definitly a good place to eat a good Burger.

A great burger joint at a location that is a little off, but a in a great area in summertime. Nice interior design(although it feels a little«tacked on») and most importantly: Great burgers! First, I want to say that you shouldn’t go here at lunch since you will only get the buffet — where they fry your burger and you put whatever you want on it from a bar with bowls of onion, tomatoes, BBQ sauce etc. It is practical — allowing the chefs to just keep making burgers without taking special orders into consideration. And maybe DIY appeals to you, but you won’t get the most delicious burgers this place has to offer — that’s for sure. After 4PM they start serving the burgers on the menu — «The Good», «The Bad» and«The Ugly». Each with its own distinct concept and set of unique ingredients. These are different from the regular«cheese burger» and«cheese and bacon burger», and very worthy of being permanent menu items. The burgers are always grilled to perfection with a pink center. If you want a spicy burger, go try«The Bad». If you want to try a novelty style burger, go get«The Ugly» which has mushrooms and other unexpected ingredients!

I ate something at that place, that is so simple, but never thought would exist: melted cheese poored on bacon, mushrooms, jalapeños, and fries. It does sound very heavy and greacy, right? Well it was, but in such a delicious way. The burger was good too, to be honest. For once it was real beef and it was medium rare cooked, which is very rare(haha) in Stockholm. But these fries… I don’t even know how to call that … I guess it has a name. Anyway, I doubt I’ll ever get over it …

It was finally time for me visit another burger joint, which emerged during«the big burger boom» in Stockholm a couple of years ago. Its a nice and quiet location overlooking water and if youre lucky and sun’s up, you can get a spot outside. Its a simple and short menu and i when with the original and added cheese. I splurged it down with their Strawberry milkshake which was served in the blender. A standard thing on the burger joint in Stockholm seems to be that they charge premium for the milkshake. I donno if they all just trying revitalize R&D money for it or if they just found a nice way to capitalize on human beings sweet misery. Anyhow, after you ordered by the counter the burger is served to the table. Burger was good but nothing special and i thought it could be more tasteful, fries and shakes goes the same way. All in all this is an okey place and you probably dont have to wait in line for a decade to get served.

Food is amazing! Had the original burger and was not disappointed at all. My buddy had the onion rings, definitely will be back before I leave Stockholm to try the milkshakes. BEERSELECTIONISGREAT, better than the majority of American Pubs!!! But they have the American 50s/60s vibe down to the point.

WOW. After 10 months living in Stockholm, disappointed by every burger I’ve had(Even when visiting Norrköping), I’ve finally found a burger worth trying again. I recently moved to Kungsholmen and noticed that this place was just a few minutes away. When we decided to try it, I was a bit apprehensive. Even Texas Longhorn, that was so hyped up by my boyfriend, wasn’t that great to me. I walked in and the smell was heavenly. I’m a NYC girl who loves Shake Shack, and the smell reminded me of my beloved shack burger. The décor is very 50’s, and I thought it was pretty cool. Many places in Stockholm try too hard to be modern, so this was a refreshing change. The staff was super friendly and helped us choose a beer to drink, since a lot of them were unfamiliar to me. I had«Den Goden» burger, which had bean sprouts, spinach, yellow beet, and avocado. I sat down kicking myself because I realized that the combination just sounded ABSURD. I was a bit scared to try it but once I did, I was so happy. The meat was DELICIOUS, just the perfect amount of moistness and flavor. The bun was a potato bun(I think?), a bit soft for some tastes, but I prefer this kind of bread on my burgers. The flavors of the toppings weren’t strong, but the avocado added a nice creaminess that was super pleasing. I also had disco fries, but I was a bit tired of them since my burger was so filling. They were pretty tasty though, and would probably be better if shared. I will definitely be back here. The prices aren’t cheap, but this is Stockholm, and they aren’t really expensive either. I think it’s totally worth it for a good burger and a beer. (P.S. I see all you Flippin Burgers enthusiasts in the reviews– I’m trying that next!)

Uhhh… one question. What fried chicken? It says they have it on their sign but there are only nuggets on the menu. And, no, that is not the same thing. False advertising! So, with no fried chicken to eat, I settled on getting a burger. That burger was pretty darn dry. The fries also tasted cheap and cardboard-ish too! I’m unenthused. Flipping burgers is SOMUCHBETTER! I would go there instead. You probably will have trouble finding a seat at lilly’s anyways and end up leaving. They have three giant oversized booths, a couch and a few tall and uncomfortable bar tables. Who thought that was a good idea? Also, WARNING: the peanut butter and chocolate milk shake is more like chunks of peanuts in a chocolate milkshake. Yucky! It was a disappointment, and not to mention a serious straw clogger… so there was no sipping that B****! And, speaking of Peanut butter… When I was there last time the«special» was a cheese burger with peanut butter on it!!! WHATTHEHECKWERETHEYTHINKING?! Then, to top off the crazy, the girl behind the counter tried to convince ME that it was a weird american thing to do like the Elvis sandwich with bacon. Firstly, the Elvis sandwich is made of peanut butter and banana, no bacon! Secondly, i’m am an American who’s never heard of a peanut butter burger in my life. Thirdly, That sounds so totally gross. Thanks for making me annoyed for a really dumb reason. I love this type of food. Wish you were better Lilly’s! I really do, but I usually take my Burgers without a side of insults and lies.

This place is one of the«good» in Stockholm, i.e. it’s trying to be up there with Flippin Burgers, AG’s etc. Might not be the best, but well worth a lunch visit.

Quite a decent burger. Tasty meat, nice bun, cheese and fillings. Fries were fairly average. Good location and comfortable environment inside and out.

Burgers are poor to average(for a place in this price range that that specializes in burgers) and the staff are completely clueless. Much better burgers can be found at flippin burgers(if you don’t mind waiting) and oljebaren(without the wait). I tried Lily’s twice and both times the meat was too dry and not particularly tasty. I made the first trip there for fried chicken since this place advertises«Fried chicken, donuts, shakes, beer». The conversation(translated from Swedish) went like this: Me: Do you have fried chicken Lily’s: No, not today. We only have burgers today. Me: Do you have chicken on weekdays? [it was a Sunday] Lily’s: No, we don’t have it then either. Me: So when do you have fried chicken? Lily’s: I don’t know. I gave it another chance shortly after that because a friend wanted to try it, but there was still no chicken and the burgers weren’t any better.

American diner style burgers. The burgers are good(for being american style in sweden). I would skip the disco fries though. Those are lost in translation.

Really great burgers! Among the best you’ll find in Stockholm. Hard to rate on this 5-scale, I’d give it 8⁄10 so I’m rounding up to a 5⁄5 :) * Great burgers * Nice service and super friendly staff * Cool venue(Diner style) * Good fries * Some nice American beers(& just having a license is a big plus in Sweden) They were out of a few things on the menu(it’s a build your burger type concept) which is a small downer but didn’t really affect my burger. The place is also kinda small so expect to wait a bit and a friend of mine made a really good point. There should be some fixed burger ala carte alternatives with proven ingredients that the chef thinks taste well together. Anyway, go here now!
