I absolutely love it here! As a Southern California California native, Mexican food was always around me. I can say, this is the most authentic Mexican food I’ve had of my 2 years of living in Stockholm. I didn’t spend more than 50SEK on 2 cheese quesadillas! — Its affordable — Delicious — Good for vegetarians(I’m a vegetarian) — Friendly crowd –More authentic you’re going to get around here in Stockholm. — And good Guacamole!

Yup, definitely liked it here. Very simple looking place that serves tasty food. Good amount of options for Vegetarians. I am not but I did not feel like eating meat that evening, so I ordered Venduras(25SEK) and Guacamole con Totopos(40SEK), both yummy. It’s very close to T-Centralen. Well visited. Tasty. Not sure if it is inexpensive for the size they serve(can’t compare to another Mexican place, sorry).

This place is the next best thing to the real thing. I come from a town in America with a lot of taquerias, which are still the next best thing to Mexico. The taco shops there were absolutely amazing, my mouth waters thinking about them. La Neta is almost at that level. I would give it 4⁄5 in comparison to the restaurants in the USA, but a 5 for what I’ve had in Sweden thus far. The food was really good, but the tortillas weren’t as rich as the ones in the states. The meat and seasoning was also at the same level, but still really good. I’ll definitely return, but I know if I find something more like home, this place will lose a star.

You shouldn’t eat a Mexican food in Stockholm anywhere else in Stockholm. It’s «authentic» pricing is fantastic and the tacos are great especially for vegetarians, just get the papa and frijoles quesadillas and you are gonna cry Bc it’s so cool and good.

As a Mexican food aficionado, this place is a must! I got their info from Buzzfeed’s top 12 cheap eats in Stockholm and I knew that this was a place to try. They make everything fresh so if they are out, they are out! Their tortillas which are homemade are perfect! I had their Bistec(steak) taco, the Pirata which was steak and cheese and their potatoe and cheese quesadilla. You can see them making your meal, they are fast and super good! Top your tacos off with some salsa verde, onion and cilantro. Order a Negra Modelo and you are set! The food so so delicious! The next time I visit Stockholm, I will eat here again! Great price for delicious food!

Great value for money. Gluten free options. Meat cooked perfectly with spicy salsa. A bit hot inside the restaurant, so sit outside if the weather is nice! Seating is first come, first served and it is cafeteria style.

I’m from southern California and grew up with Mexican food and lived in Mazatlan Mexico too so to me the carnitas tacos are great with the right suff to go with it nothing beats squeezing a fresh lime on fresh carnitas. It’s too bad they don’t serve the Mexican rice drink there its very refreshing with the tacos!

We don’t speak Swedish but the server was very happy to explain all the taco options to us. We regularly go to Chipotle restaurants in London so are used to big fat burritos. Here you can have smaller tacos and a variety. 5 for 95SEK seemed about right from prices we are used to back home. They tasted great but agree with previous reviews that the layout of the restaurant is claustrophobic. They have buzzers to tell you when your food is ready though so they have clearly done what they can with the space they’ve got. All round great taste. Nice to have fresh, authentic ingredients for a good price.

I’m so glad I checked Unilocal when trying to find somewhere different to eat along Drottninggatan! I opted for La Neta’s affordable lunch special — two tacos and a drink. The pork and pineapple taco was incredible, especially when loaded up with fresh coriander, onion, salsa verde and paired with their house rice. NB. No English menu but the staff were super friendly and happy to translate!

Feels very close to authentic tacos from Mexico. Home-made tortillas are a nice touch. Décor is unpretentious and also typical Mexican :-) I recommend if you are in the mood for authentic tacos!

A local favourite and great cheap eat in central Stockholm. Good Mexican tacos(compare to San Diego). Small menu but satisfying. No English menu so be warned.

La Neta Mexican a restaurant serves up some pretty authentic tacos and quesadillas. The flavors of the food were true and complex. The salsa’s available for customers to pile on their food were delicious. The prices for the food items are about average for this type of food in Sweden. However coming from San Francisco and as a person who travels frequently to Mexico the food seemed overpriced. Furthermore I know people eat everything with utensil in Sweden however if I were the owner of this restaurant I would remove all silverware(plastic wear) from the premises. Eating tacos and quesadillas should be done with your hands. Lastly I gave it only four stars because of two reasons one when it came to service I found this place to be on par with lots of other places in Stockholm meaning that service was lacking or non existent. Two I found the carnitas to be dry and not very flavorful on their own. You should however visit this place if you are craving something original with lots of flavor.

After reading the reviews of a mexican I wanted to try, I decided to look for another mexican… and I found La Neta… Okay so… tacos, quesadillas… Yeah, yeah… same stuff everywhere… So I considered trying it «just for a snack, just to see how it is…» I go inside, small queue… I ask for a chorizo quesadilla… I wait just a moment and I go get it… Let’s put LOADS of curriander in this! :D As soon as I gave the first bite, I wanted to go order another one… It was sooooooo goooood!!! So I ate it and went back to ask for more things…(yeah, now I want to try it ALL!) Ok… I have a queue almost up to the door now… This time I will have a taco with beef and guacamole(oh, their guaca is awesome!) and another chorizo quesadilla… Why not 5 stars? I think the venue could be a bit more«welcoming»… and the fact that there is no staff in the dining area creates a bit of a distance… You only see them when you are ordering…

A place after my own heart. When I first got to Sweden last year, a few coworkers mentioned La Neta when I complained about this phenomenon we like to call the ‘Swedish Taco’. Coming from NYC, I’m used to having plenty of authentic Mexican restaurants(and trucks: P) to choose from. My ideal taco is made with a small corn tortilla, lots of meat, and topped with diced white onions and cilantro. Imagine my surprise trying a Swedish«taco» made with a huge flour tortilla, lettuce, and cucumbers(???). I won’t even mention the need to eat everything with a fork and knife here. I was so glad to walk into this place and see the servers wearing shirts that encouraged you to eat with your hands. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy eating tacos the Swedish way(I don’t foodscriminate). There’s just something comforting about being up in a little Scandinavian city, an entire ocean away from the birth of the taco, and still having a semi-authentic experience.

After coming here, My friend described the place saying that if a Mexican came directly from the airport to La Neta and tried their menu, he would shoot himself and die. I wouldn’t call it that bad, but I was disappointed. First, The guacamole dip to the side chips was basically tasteless avocado chopped in pieces. Second, in most Mexican places I’ve gone to, side chips comes with the meal for free! Besides the chips I got both one of the large tacos and a quesadilla. The«large» taco wasn’t really that large. If you market it as being large, I expect more. The filling was fine but simply not enough ingredients and they could have increased the amount of filling. The quesadilla menu was a bit strange. Half of the options had potatoes in them — hmm. Well I tried that, and it was a strange combination. I might be a bit harsh, but I had quite high expectations to the place after having it recommended and reading the Unilocal reviews. I might go again just to see if it actually is this ‘bad’, but not to enthusiastic about that.

No, nope, not at all. I had been wanting to try this place since I learned it existed last year, so I had high expectations. It was exciting to see people with what looked like appetizing plates of 5 small soft tacos and chips with guac. The main menu board is useless — names of the tacos with no list of ingredients. So grab the take out menu as fast as you can. Chicken taco’s with bacon? What? Quesadillas with half potatoes? No. Whatever this place wants to be, it’s not Mexican. I got the Pirata and Alambra large tacos. The Pirata is steak with guac and the guac didn’t really show up for the party, leaving me basically with a tortilla of steak. The steak was okay — could have been really tasty with the proper amount of guac between the lines. The Alambra was a disgrace — I love the taste of bacon too, but it doesn’t belong in this soft taco. This is in no way the taste of Mexico, nor the right combination with chicken(again, guac is the way forward). But let’s break it down to the basics. The tortillas are not well made. It should be soft and delicious on its own. A good tortilla sells itself. These were… well just think stale and not memorable. The guac, which I am judging from the chips, was not up to par. Very basic, which can be okay with a good avocado but it wasn’t even properly ground. The fresh salsa(mild) was quite good though, and if you mix that and the onions in with the guac then you end up with something respectable. I recommend that. Chips were not great, but okay. At least they didn’t serve the«nacho» chips that every bar serves up, but they were going towards the stale side and come on, bake your own fresh, hot chips! You’re a Mexican joint! Much as some judge a restaurant on the bread and butter, I think it’s a fair point to judge a Mexican place on their chips and salsa. And they should be HOT. This *definitely* is not authentic Mexican food beyond the fact they they are serving you on small tortillas. Nor is it Tex-Mex, nor is it American Mexican. It’s very much Stockholm Mexican and it has very far to go. I’ve never missed home so much as when I ate here. I’m being harsh on this place — I would return. It seems like the best that Stockholm has to offer in this arena. But it’s so, so far from the experience that Stockholmers should have when they sit down with a tortilla, and some hot chips and salsa and definitely a margarita. I wish that I could share this experience with you. For now, I’ll just close my eyes and remember times from far away.

Genuine mexican fast food venue in the middle of Stockholm. The place is located in a basement and have seating both inside and outside during summer. Its a pretty easy menu and basic is to choose btw small street tacos or larger tortillas. You can either go corn or flour and you can add some chips and salsa for some extra SEK. They keep it simple and flavor is good. They recommend 5 small or 2 big tacos and if you are hungry you should probably go more. You can add sauces, onions etc. by own courage afterwards. Place is pretty small so you shouldnt go here talking business secrets since you most probably end up sharing a table with some random guys. If you done this the right way you end up trying Suadero and Pastor for small tacos and spend around 140SEK in total. This is done the mexican way so expect soft tacos, cilantro and hot sauces!

La Neta has great taste but really crappy dining experience and way to small tacos. A taco for me is either huge and well filled or many small tacos. I would also very much like to see more alternatives. Be the first place in stockholm with fish tacos both baja style and normal. Also get the condiments up to par, they are quite boring now.

First time I went here I did fall in love with the restaurant and the concept of simple fast food, but after some consideration about the food itself I doubt this is «real» Mexican food. It sounds more like a cliché and is equivalent to the fixed idea that meatballs is a traditional Swedish dish. The staff is not as nice as I wish them to be and that is always a big minus for me. Also, the food is a bit too simple to be given four starts — I feel like it would be a lot cheaper and more fun if I stayed at home and cooked the same meal with friends instead of going out for the sake of just eating. Paying 90kr for two tortillas really seems a bit too pricy.
