Kajsa’s is situated at Barnängsbryggan, making it the perfect candidate for an espresso or cappuccino while waiting for the ferry that takes you across to Hammarby sjöstad. So, why am I a fan? Truth to be told, it isn’t really for the ice cream nor the coffee(which are both good!), but rather for the lack of decent alternatives in the neighbourhood. This part of Södermalm is like a big black hole when it comes to coffee shops and restaurants — you’d likely be better of if you head up to Babajan at Vintertullstorget, or some cozy place along Skånegatan/Åsögatan/Erstagatan. That said, Kajsa’s is the exception that justifies the rule; good snacks for a relatively decent price tag. But remember; you’re likely just here for a refill rather than a proper meal.
