Any chance I had to speak Swedish I would take it. In some places people smiled at me and thought it was cute the latino girl speaking their language, others not so much. The lady at Esaias was lovely, and took my order for a hot tea to go in broken Swedish no problem.
The place is adorable, and I would love to have spent more time over there. Place is cozy and nice and most of the customers looked like they’ve been working, reading their newspapers and hanging out there for a while.
In the counter, a number of several pastries and I saw in the menu they also have sandwiches.
I will gladly come back to spend more time there, and hopefully I will speak a better Swedish by then.

Ordered the reuben sandwich with 3 other friends which we all enjoyed. The cashier was very friendly. They took awhile on my order due to confusion with 2 and a half sandwiches (gave us 2 ½s), so I had to wait about an extra 10 minutes for my reuben sandwich. They were sorry and treated the 3 of us to free pastries, which weren’t good or bad but the service was good (again, thanks to the cashier and his apologies). The menu doesn’t have too much variety, but i definitely recommend the reuben sandwich. The bread has a good crunch to it with a soft texture inside from the corn beef and swiss cheese.

Kafé Esaias is a cool cofffee shop on one of the main shopping streets, Drottninggatan. It is somewhat away from the city centre, but still sort of central and located nicelyon a hill, so you have a great view over Drottningsgatan from there. This is another place for decent coffee in Stockholm.

Kafé Esaias has been named as being among the best places in the world for espresso (by blog A Life Worth Eating). I would perhaps not agree with that but they do serve some really good coffee. Roasted by daMatteo (Gothenburg based roasters) and they do also serve Chemex brews with the beans of your choice. The selecton is however limited and the brews are sometimes a bit over-​extracted but still a good place for an espresso or a cortado.
The place is almost always packed and that is not only due to the good coffee — the food, especially the brunch is also very good.
