Amazing people! I LOVELOVE the home made cinnamon be here. So tasty and fresh. Was praising it to the staff. They even gave me another one as a gift. So very grateful!

Cozy, good service and good cakes. A lot of tourists, of course, since it’s in a prime spot in old town, but well worth a visit if they have room.

After having a not so great dining experience at a nearby restaurant within the Gamla Stan area of Stockholm, I joined up with another group of people in my travel party to get some Swedish Meatballs at this place. We chose this place because the past reviews were slightly better. The Swedish Meatballs were pretty good. The gravy had a great savoury flavour that I was looking for. The lingonberries were also tasty with a nice, but slight juicy sweetness balanced by the warmness of the mashed potatoes. It was also nice that they added in a salad on the side. As for the price, I paid less than 200SEK, so the prices were not too bad. The service was pretty quick, so we didn’t have to wait for too long. One plate of Swedish Meatballs should be enough for a decent lunch for the rest of the afternoon. Overall, if you are looking for some tasty Swedish Meatballs at a reasonable price in an outdoor setting in the Gamla Stan area of Stockholm, this is probably a good choice. I don’t think it is the best place for Swedish Meatballs in the city of Stockholm, but it’s still pretty good in a very touristy area like the Gamla Stan.

A little place with a big menu! Even though it fits at most 20 – 25 people, it has a large variety of drinks, sweets and sandwiches. The staff is friendly and relaxed. The décor, antique and cosy. I warmly recommend a visit for a good afternoon fika, for those who like a quieter and even inspirational environment. It is gamla stan afterall!

Stopped into this place on a whim, was hungry from walking the Christmas market in Gamla Stan. Cosy décor, no wait but tables were almost full. Staff is lovely with simple self ordering. I had the Swedish meatballs and they were simply AMAZING! The potatoes were executed perfectly, and the small salad, lingonberries, and buttered bread were homemade and very delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for handmade traditional Swedish food in the area for a treat at a great price.

I was only in Sweden for one night, and had but one wish: to experience Swedish meatballs. My friend and I had stopped by Jerntorgiths Café in the morning for coffee and pastries, and my pastry was so delicious that I bought *another* with which to finish my coffee! We noticed that this café had recently begun serving meatballs as a dinner option. After a lovely day in the city, my stomach reminded me of my one Swedish wish. We began scouring Unilocal for the best meatball shops, but all were unfortunately out of our price range. We did, however, remember the cute little brick-walled café in the square with the excellent pastries. So we returned to Jerntorgiths. Although they were about to close, the waiters saw the desperation in my eyes and went out of their way to make sure I had the whole meatball experience. They were kind and really enthusiastic about sharing the dish with us, and I must say that it met my(quite heightened!) expectations of the meatballs. I told my family and friends about the wonderful experience I had at Jerntorgiths. Thanks!
