My first impression is far from positive. The shopwindow is filled with extremely discolored record covers. On the curbside in front of this window there are some crates with records(covers) affected by the rain and the sun. Furthermore these records do not dispay an assortment of much quality. Once inside, there are so many records, you don’t know where to begin. Especially because there is no logic in the grouping. Many records don’t have a price tag on. You have to ask the owner what the price is and he’ll visually grades the cover and vinyl on the spot. It gives me the idea the price you’ll pay depends a great lot on the man’s mood of the day. Anyway, it will never be cheap. The shop’s assortment is wide and various, containing factory sealed originals from the ’70’s and ’80’s(among which self-imported tittles from back in the days). It is hard to browse around, or to search for specific items. However, I do need to compliment the owner, as he seems to know(quite) exactly what he has in stock or not. And where to find it. Propably best to start talking to the owner when in the shop and ask for the items on your wish list. Randomly browsing is no pleasure, mainly because the layout of the store and the racks and piles of unpriced items. Prices are too high, way too high. Nevertheless if you are looking for specific items to complete a collection price might not be the most important criterion for selection. A random browser and omnivorous vinyl collector like myself this is a shop to skip. Luckily there are soooo many great record shops in Stockholm, one less store might lessen your time schedule.
