Espresso House

Definitely my favourite coffeeshop chain. The staff at the centralen shop is always friendly and efficient. Can at times have a nice chat while you wait for your coffee. I would rate Espresso House 5 stars but at times the quality of their latte differs greatly. I suppose this depends on the barista but it is noticeable if you come there a lot. This is not just the case in centralen thought, and it remains my favourite coffee shop to get my coffee on the go while in transit.

Don’t understand why people like this place. It’s extremely expensive for mediocre coffee and food. My double cappuccino had no flavour, other than milk. The bagel sandwich was equivalent to $ 10 and didn’t have enough meat to even cover the whole bagel. My advice is to go to Johan & Nyström in sodermalm instead. Still expensive, but everything is good.

Our favorite coffee shop in Stockholm! We stayed in the Sheraton three times, and always enjoyed going down to the Espresso House in the morning for coffee and breakfast. The food’s very expensive, but that’s just Stockholm, so I don’t hold that against them at all. Not only was it far more affordable than the Sheraton breakfast, I also adore the interior: Comfy chairs, a huge mural that makes you feel like you’re sitting in an old fashioned library full of books, and a style that is the perfect balance between warm, full of character, and Swedish Modern.
The food’s excellent too. We had several of their prepared sandwiches and panini, but my favorite item is the poppyseed muffin with a lemon filling: Heavenly, so soft and smooth with a sweet and tangy interior. I strongly recommend trying this!
The service was wonderful as well, always friendly, prompt and welcoming, even at 7am! (That’s more than I can say for my own morning mood usually, except for the days that started at the Espresso House, which always cheered me up.) Oh, and free wireless internet too, though Stockholm in general is a free-​wireless haven.

Very convenient Espresso House located smack in the middle of the Central Station. I never sit here and have a cup of coffee but I do often pick one up on the go and for that this place is perfect — the coffee is better than average coffee, service is quick and price for a filter coffee is fairly reasonable.
