Embassy of The United States of America

I Love having the US Embassy in an easy access location — the bus drops you off on their door step.
I also Love that as an American citizen, you can skip the long line of Swedes waiting to get visas (this line can take hours and hours just to get in the doors)
Once you’re inside, however… I do not love that it has the same feeling as the Los Angeles DMV. Take a number and sit in an old plastic rickety chair. if you dare. I opted to stay standing.
Ask any Swede and they’ll tell you it’s the least impressive Embassy in Stockholm :(
They do have an awesome vending machine with snacks from «home» — cheezits! and even the white cheddar kind — pretty darn cool, if you ask me :)
The staff there are very friendly and helpful!! Plus it’s a great place to meet other Americans living in Stockholm :)
I just wish they took a little more pride in the aesthetics and comfort in the waiting room. Represent some awesome American designers, HELLO Jonathan Adler and Kelly Wearstler — that would be AMAZEBALLS!!! I would hang out there all the time, just for fun :)
