This Coop has awful reviews. Aww, poor Coop, being all cooped up in negativity!(Ha. Ha.) I feel like I have to come to the rescue. Only three stars, sure, but still — this Coop is a life-saver. I live about a 20 minute walk away from this store, and pass three other grocery stores on the way there. And yet, it might surprise you how often I end up walking all the way. Yes, this Coop is laid out very strangely. It’s on two floors and it can be hard to determine what’s where. And yeah, it’s not super shiny and new. It looks like it has seen better days. But it’s not bad. It’s got character. It’s not like I choose to do my daily shopping here — especially not when I have a Coop much closer to my home — but if there is ever anything that you need that you can’t find at other grocery stores, this is the place to find it. I checked at three different stores in the area before finally arriving at Coop on the hunt for fresh-but-affordable crayfish, for the traditional Swedish crayfish party. They were sold out or unavailable everywhere else — two Ica stores and another Coop nearby only had frozen or crazy expensive crayfish. Same thing with camembert. Swedes do this amazing thing with the cheese where it’s breaded and fried and eaten with cloudberry jam — num num! Super duper tasty. But it’s easiest to buy the breaded camembert premade, and many stores don’t have it. But Coop does! So, despite all its flaws, three cheers — and three stars — for Coop at Medborgarplatsen!

Needs a 0. Terrible store and no thought has gone into how this place is laid out. Weird selection and seems only the expensive/premium range is on sale. Pricing not clear or in same place as the products. First and last time.
