I love the atmosphere of this place. Comfortable seating, friendly staff, relaxed people. I visited Stockholm and sat in here reading for quite a while and only bought a coffee and they didn’t bat an eye. Also the coffee is really good, their specialty drinks are too. I didn’t have any of the food because that’s not what I come to coffee shops for personally.

This is still my go-to café in Fridhemsplan but my opinion of it has changed a bit. Sandwiches are generally good, the Hallancheesecake is basically the staple of my visit though it is certainly not gourmet, and the WiFi works well. The interior is warm and cozy in the winter, and despite the busy and fairly loud seating along Sankt Eriksgatan, it’s a good spot to sit outside, considering. The Chai Tea Latte is massive but varies widely on taste(remember it fondly in the Winter, not so much in the Summer), and what’s up with the 5kr refills for coffee? Jury is in on the Muffins: not worth it though they look like they will be. Overall, I still have a lot of love for this place and recommend it for the area. It’s a good spot to work, a good spot for a conversation and it’s open late.

Great café very close to Fridhemsplan station, the only thing near our hotel that was open past 5:00 on a Sunday. I would give the latte and hot chocolate 5 stars — best we’ve had from a café in Stockholm — and the service 5 stars. My husband and I talked to the owner’s sons for a while near closing time and they were very friendly(not at all hurrying us out like another commenter mentioned). Have to give props to kids helping parents run a business! The reason I subtracted a star was the sandwich. The meat was tough(we had to take it out) and it had a strange spread. That’s just our taste though and maybe it’s a normal Swedish spread. The bread was toasted nicely and the cheese melted and delicious. All of the baked goods were calling to me and if we were staying in town longer, we would have come in again to sample those and definitely for more coffee.

The place is rather tacky with its fake brick walls, torch holder and gold framed mirror. I’m told it’s Stockholms oldest café but I can’t say they treat the locale with much dignity. Great address, friendly staff behind the counter. Prices are as in all other cafés in the city — around 80SEK for a salad, around 40SEK for any slice of pie or cake. But what do you get? The salad is a bit dry(they offer extra vinegrette in a bottle at the counter) and the chocolate cake is too(but vinegrette probably won’t help that). Cream for your hot chocolate or chocolate cake comes from a can. Not very luxurious but the public has gotten used to it so I guess we have to settle for it. The hours are very generous(for being Stockholm) — they’re even open till 10 pm on Sundays. However, well before 9:40 pm they picked everything off our table, shut down the music, turned up the lights and started just standing around to indicate that they really wanted us out of there. Minutes later they started moving tables and cleaning the floor. I’m of the opinion that if a place claims to be open until 10 pm, guest should be able to be there and feel welcome until 10 pm. If they want to clean out the place and go home by 10, they should say they’re open for guests until 9:30. Now we left rather bummed out. If nothing else is open(which unfortunately is likely), I’d come back here.

— nice, small café in the Kungsholmen district — small tables in front of the café to sit outside when the weater is nice — very friendly staff — food: breakfast, brunch, lunch — we went there for breakfast and had a very very tasty kanelbule there; you should definitely try it there! Conclusion: for a small break and a kanelbule I would definitely come back!

They are open till 22 — good! Serve Söder tea — good! Staff is super friendly — good! And actually I came there because of the name, one nice Stockholm music band has the matching name — The Fix — good.
