American Express

I really like American Express and always have. They provide great services with great customer care, and more and more places are starting to accept the cards. I would say at this point, it’s widely accepted in Sweden. The best part about this card is the cash back opportunities, or alternatively, the frequent flyer accrual you can get through regular spending. I opted to trade in the Platinum card for a SAS Eurobonus AMEX Platinum card which gives two vouchers for 2−4−1 award travel with any Star Alliance airline yearly (given that you spend at least 300k SEK on the card during the year). AMEX would have a 5-​star from me would it not be for the fact that the IT services of AMEX Sweden unfortunately are leaps behind the US and UK counterparts of the same company.
